Dentistry is highly competitive and there are just two ways to get it .First ,blast well in your exams both o-levels and utme.the cut off point can be as high as 80% and above depending on the performance and number of students who chose your school of choice.
second , get average score and have strong connection.some few people will score 60% and add connection to it and secure the admission .when I say connection I mean serious one that can influence the admission process whether directly or indirectly because it is highly competitive.
if LUTH which is the first dental school in Nigeria is not allowed to admit more than 40 students ,how much more of LASUTH that just graduated their first set(about 10 dentist) recently .
The requirement to train a dentist is very huge and thus dental schools only take few students per year in accordance with strict admission guidelines.
In summary, if you lack the second criteria , just forget it and change to another course or try again if you really want the course .

if she is going for accounting, i'll say she shuld'nt risk it!...Although fuoye cut off mark is 180, accounting students need up to 200+...So let her change to a lower course which her 192 can get!

You're wrong oh. Estate Management is a science course.... You must have done science courses like chemistry, physics, geography or T. D in secondary school for O'level grades. While for UTME, you must have English, Mathematics, Economics and any other science subject.
That's the right combination for Estate Management under both UTME and O'level... Be rightly informed

It was even reported that 9 Candidates Fainted due to the crowd, while trying to successfully effect a change in their Course/Institution.

We're not sure why JAMB released this statement, since many candidates here on Myschool had confirmed to had successfully effected 2017 Change in Course/Institution at CBT centres.

Read the statement released today, Thursday, 1st June, by The Head of Media and Information of JAMB, Dr Fabian Benjamin below;

Benjamin said that reports reaching the headquarters of the board indicated that a large crowd of candidates on Wednesday besieged the board’s Lagos office.

He said the development was creating unnecessary anxiety and chaos where there should be none.

"This announcement became necessary following the crowd in our offices by candidates demanding for such services.

"Affected candidates are urged to remain calm as we shall contact them when the time is right.

"The request for correction of data is usually from candidates, who provided wrong information while filling their application document online," Benjamin said.

According to him, the change of institutions is for those who are considering other preferences other than their initial choices.

He noted that the candidates were misled to believe that the board had started such services and would soon close.

He said that when the board opened the window for correction of data and change of course it would make the announcement.

He assures all candidates desirous of carrying out the correction of data or change of institution that the board would ensure that enough time was given for them to do so.

Benjamin also explained that the board had not finished with the conduct of the 2017 UTME.

"The board is still conducting examinations for those who registered late and those who could not be verified during the examination.

"As such, it will be unfair to them to open window for such correction and changes at the same time.

"Our reforms are meant to make our services accessible to all conveniently."

He also said that JAMB would decentralise the service when it eventually opened its portal for it.

"We are collaborating with the University of Lagos, Yaba College of Technology and other stakeholders on this in Lagos. We will do same in other states.

"This will ease the pressure on our various offices and ensure a hitch-free process."

That's the right combination for Estate Management under both UTME and O'level... Be rightly informed

Jamb is looking for a way to prove their innoncency, they want the apprasial of the media, Was it not that same jamb office that many did their correction of data before the Saga happened, Did jamb not send us an E-mail containing the RRR code and transaction ID, did jamb not confirm our payment, by sending us our transaction status?...Did jamb deny our change of institution/course when it ws printed on a hardcopy?....To make matter worse, did jamb not send our new slip to our E-mail address....Now how will you tel me that jamb was ignorant of our change?....Seeing that there was chaos at one of their office, they decided to protect the name of their office instead of Acknowledging their fault!...So what that man is saying, is total False!....pls dont be shaken by that!
