Osinbajo contesting against Buhari ?? Even on his sick bed Buhari will defeat him hands down because they are not mates in politics.

Jonathan was a mere VP when he defeated buhari.
Buhari has nothing good to show when it comes to leadership. He was a traitor and a dictator, and with the way things are going under his leadership now, Majority of Nigerians will rather vote a madman as president than the dullard.
Politics is not just all about who are mates and whatnot, it's also about who connects with the people the most, and that's what osinbajo has started doing. Interacting with market women at Garki, going to calabar, administering projects etc... he is paying way for his political future already, that's if he wants to run.

People are loving him to the detriment of the cabal.
So stay there and be comparing mates while osinbajo becomes your next president.
This was exactly how Buhari grabbed the masses. Oh the irony grin

You pointed out that Southeast has produced no president nor vice, why did you refuse to allocate 2019 presidency to the southeast?

What is so special about the north, that is must be a northerner president? What is wrong with an Igbo man as President and a northerner as vice?

undecided

North-South- North-South etc that is how it should be

Then in the South, it should be

SW-SS-SE, SS-SE-SW, SE-SW-SS

This Barcanista fellow is a nuisance pushing an old and discredited agenda.

Nigeria's needs a good ruler and he can come from anywhere. I will vote for a credible man from Calabar or Osogbo, Funtua or Isiagwuto if he can provide leadership and direction to Nigeria.

How has rotational presidency helped us as a country ?
Let us abandon the crude ideas of our fathers and take our destiny in our hands.

Igbo presidency in which country?

Please presidency is not won by blackmail, name calling threat of secession and threat of war, violence and genocide., It is won by bridge building and alliances.

You work for presidency, it is not dropped on your laps.
boring propaganda dead on arrival.
The north desperately love a One Nigeria, after their tenure, they will shift it to the south east inorder to stop this seccession agitation.
I see a northerner taking APC flag in 2019 together with a South East VP.
Go and read the history of politics in this country or read about the emergeance of Shehu shagari as President.

It's highly unfortunate that people like you are given a platform like nairaland to say things that are derogatory to people's character. He is a Nigerian and if it is his wish to run for president I don't see any law that says he cannot. SMH in disgust for irrelevant clowns.

Pls, can someone let me know if there's anywhere it's written in our constitution that presidency should be rotated between the North and the south. I really don't understand how it's an injustice that the north that got power in 2007 after their usual "power must return to the north" failed to complete the 8 years they had at their disposal and now it's looking like the same movie is playing out. If you're for equity and fairness then you should be in support of an Igbo president in 20019. Except of course you're using the guise of fairness to the north to drum support for your new part APDA or is it ADPA.

Where is the fairness where Buhari ran to UK to get the best medical care, while the masses are left with dilapidated hospitals that look like poultry farms for the masses?

The years of northern military rule was one of the reasons why the whole country agreed for Southern presidency in 1999. Should we perpetually keep them out? Beside, if any zone from the South is to aspire for President it should be the Southeast
Fact is, the years of northern military rule cannot be wished out of our history hence the north cannot claim to be "marginalised". The south east? Maybe. But even they have lead the senate either as president or deputy for almost all our years of democratic governance. My point is, competence rather than tribe or ethnicity should be favoured in the coming elections. I care less what zone our next president comes from as long as he is competent or at least perceived to be.

Going through this thread I've noticed the posts representing SW interest don't want to wait their turn.

Why is that?

One word GREED!

A Yoruba man should not even smell the Presidency until every region in the country has had their 8 years. That is fairness, but these Yoruba people think they are smart. Let them wait till 2019 and come to collect votes from another region for that corrupt midget.

We'll screw their brain right and remind them the name of the country is not Odudugeria.

NW should have the slot in 2019 even if Buhari doesn't contest, and the VP should be a SE. In 2023, a SE should get the Presidency and NE would get the VP.

Rather, they want to start a very silly game. 8 years for OBJ, now they want to go for 8 years for Osinbajo when SS only had 5 years and NW only had 6 years, NE 0, NC 0, SE 0. Is SW the only region in the country?

2019 Nigeria is going to produce a northern president with an Igbo VP Godswilling. We the Igbo have built bridges and played politics of principle since 1999 by supporting others and disregarding our own if we felt that his candidacy would not be good for Nigeria eg Ojukwus and Okadigbos case. Now is the time to reap our rewards. Thankfully we have first class materials like Soludo, Peter Obi and Okonjo Iweala who are respected by OBJ, IBB etc.
