Tried to read thru the thread for weeks but havent found an answer to my question so i decided to skip to the end and just ask.

I sent my BSC and a Diploma (Abridged Airframe & Power Plant) obtained from the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology Zaria to IQAS for the ECA. they assessed my BSC and didnt do d diploma. I sent them a mail to complain that the skool(NCAT) is like some named institutions in canada and the course must have been accredited by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) whose head office is in Montreal, and this is was i was told;

Your Diploma Abridged Airframe and Powerplant was excluded from assessment as while the awarding institution meets IQAS’s recognition requirements, the specific program does not.

Please also ensure to include any supporting evidence to substantiate your request. If you are planning to send the request by Fax, please ensure you use the applicable prefix; IQAS Fax numbers is 1-780-427-2655.

Please let's try as much as possible to avoid gift deed when gathering our funds. This gift deed issue is well known to Indians and the VOs know how to tackle it. The reason for this is to avoid tension whenever Nigeria applications come through - so that those who come after us can also be successful without we ruining their chances.

In India, CIC agents visit organisations to confirm if an applicant actually works there because of many fake applications. Once the trend for Gift deeds increases in Nigeria, it will begin to raise suspicion. Nigerians are not known for gift deeds. There are ways to manoeuvre POF.

A similar case to this, was the change in supervisor signing on a plain sheet of paper. It wasn't the case previously in Nigeria. Supervisors could sign on branded letterhead and include his contact details. However, CIC was getting negative confirmation from these reference letters because rather than call your supervisor, they will call your HR and HR will deny ever issuing such reference. Also, if you think CIC agents can't visit, think again. CIC agents/lawyers visit Alagbon to confirm from the criminal registry if you have any criminal case. They can run the same template too, but the problem is the delay in time to process each Nigerian application.

Also, please confirm the occupation and address on your marriage certificate, for those who are married, before you submit. Your marriage certificate should not indicate a different work occupation and your reference letter and employment letter stating a different thing. This will result to delay and if you cannot convince them - rejection. Again, if this is someone's issue and he now uses a gift deed - AHA! This person would work harder to convince them otherwise.

You don't have problem. That's what affidavit are for. We lose important documents and when we can't get it back or any alternative; affidavit then comes handy.

Attach your affidavit, explain in LOE. Don't forget your 10 year activity to sync with the relocation date stated in your LOE. Yours is even better; avoids too much scrunity especially when occupation stated in marriage certificate is not in sync with your NOC

My advice to you is to get the person who supervised you there, top manager or whoever owned the business to prepare a letter stating all that needs to be stated(duties, salary etc). The only thing you won't have access to, I believe, is the letter head. Back this letter up with a LOE stating that your former employer is out of business.

Let the gurus advise you as well.

CAPITAL NO don't use it. Company letter head is available to everyone who works in the company.

POF can be in the account of the accompanying spouse. LOE is sufficient here. You can do this if you are trying to disguise where the inflow came from. But be ready to submit your spouse statement of account in case be asked

Can one also avoid deed of gift by simply asking your sponsor to write a letter of sponsorship for settlement funds and then transfer the money mentioned in the letter to you in furtherance of the letter. And the latter can then be notarized. One can then add proof of source of funds of the sponsor What do you think?

So if I worked for one year as a banker during which I got married (and they probably put 'banker' on my marriage cert), then worked 3 yrs as a field engineer, and this is what I'm using as my primary NOC, are you saying my application will be rejected because it shows banker on my marriage cert? Please o, let's be sure of the info we pass across so as not to scare people. Lol

Bro everyone has "multiple" in the PCC section; that's the default except you have a screenshot that shows something different. I don't even think you need to include the "by corresopndence" bit if you indicate that the country of education is Nigeria. Passport clearly shows you were never in the UK so I don't think there is a need for plenty etha xplanations regarding this.

Its simple, anyone who hasn't traveled outside naija for more than six months should snap what he has for PCC in the upload section, let's see if there is no multiple in bracket.
