Just saw it in the news, the FEC has been sacked by the Acting President. I think the man is finally showing he has got some guts against what most people are starting to believe this few days. Thumb up for the Niger-Delta man

Totally the right thing to do. Jonathan surprised me by going a step further to entirely disolve an irredeemably woeful cabinet when many expected only a cabinet reshuffle from the acting President.

I cannot ask those who are skeptical , with very good reasons for their skepticism , to begin believing in Jonathan. I am skeptical of him also as I feel he is another business-as-usual leader lacking the strong convictions required to turn our nation around. Nonetheless, it is one step at a time. Jonathan has now done what all Nigerians wanted. We can at least wait to see who the new Ministers are before we damn Jonathan's effort .

Right now I am honestly waiting to see that heaven that will let loose.

I have said here so many times, Cabal this Cabal that, only means much so long as they can prove Yar'adua's existence by unveiling him to the public and Yar'adua coming back physically to reclaim his office.

Let us see that heaven that will fall.

Tanimu Yakubu and co will not do jack. They should go home and eat what they have made so far.

I hope he ignores this business of asking Governors to nominate Ministers from their State. He should pick his own team.

I don't suppose the Governors delegate the LGA Chairmen to nominate commissioners from their Local Government. I don't know why the President will have to rely on Governors to pick the Cabinet. The constitution only require Federal Character to be demonstrated, it did not say you should delegate executive poweer of appointing ministers to Governors.

Indeed !!! OBJ wilfully encouraged the destructive participation of Governors in federal issues to a dangerous level to the extent many Governors now confuse their role within our politics to include meddling in political matters that should not concern them. This explains their brazen attempt to order Jonathan around !!!! Jonathan must shun our busybody Governors and other self-serving politicians who will now besiege him with names of "wonderful performers" he should 'consider'  . It will not be difficult for our acting President  to raise a competent team that can move Nigeria forward if that is what Jonathan sincerely wants.

Jonathan has only proven dat he knows where he is going and he cannot be rushed, pushed or dictated to. Rememba govs asked him not to dissolve cabinet but now he has done that, so I'm just calm waitin for his next move.

In any sensible environment a president would already have a list of substitutes but it is not the case of Nigeria. Ministries will go headless now for the next one month. For God sake how long does it take to swear in Ministers but no a jamboree must happen. Please manage your expectations Jonathan has a very poor track record in area of service delivery.
