I would bet it's from the same builder as your OPVs, it employs a similar design language.

SAAF demonstrations are always lit

You know the interesting part? They have a few minutes to stage the interesting parts of the demonstration. Those have to be done in twilight, there must be enough light for the troops on the ground to be visible but dark enough for the fireworks.... At this time of the year, the twilight is very short and a slight delay in minutes on logistics would ruin the whole show.

India has a very good shipbuilding industry. That's one of India's most advanced Frigates. Our ship is Chinese.

I don't think that's the case. RSA has very good military photographers and in very good quantity. Hence military photos from RSA exercises always come out legit.

That's the main difference. Those moments get captured.

Can this turn out to be a fruitful relationship ?? It seems to me like things really move slow with these guys, as nemesis always points out.

We already conduct bi-lateral training exercises with the Indian navy. In terms of purchases, with the Nigerian navy already complaining about money, i'm not hopeful.

The Germans didn't order their Tigers with guns and ended up regretting it.
A gun is many times more cost effective for most targets. Especially in COIN warfare.
Only the big boys can afford to shoot a $115 000 hellfire at a $10 000 toyota.

Taking up a much needed hardpoint that ordinarily should carry another rocket rack.

No Sir, this is not a well thought out helicopter. Instead of this, the army whenever they are ready should go for armed LUH instead.

Z19 right, yes it is lighter, new, good punch... It is more for support to the infantry right ?
If the Army is going for a light aviation corps focus on providing support to the infantry so yes it will be a very good choice

No gun, limited performance and.... Chinese

Chinese missiles and ships are one thing... but armor and aerospace... no bueno

Its a recon/tank-hunter

Load em up at point them at enemy armor.

Really impressive for China's first but its too specialized for the 3rd world.

https://www.google.co.za/amp/www.wealthdaily.com/amp/articles/21st-century-warfare-renders-the-tank-obsolete/5017

They said the exact same sh1t after Yom Kippur

Muh ATGM's, muh RHS armor not good enough

And then one silly kraut messing around in the desert figured out ERA and then the tank was reborn

We have seen a revolution in ATGM's and now the resultant evolution in tank armor will follow. Jap's are allready doing interesting sh1t with nano-crystals and the Abrams Sep 3, Chally CLEP, Leo 2 "revolution" (2a7++), K2 Black Panther are all impenetrable on the frontal arc as is.

Even the old Iraqi Abrams (no DU Layer) have shown to be extremely rugged... Pic related, non penetration of a Konkurs.
While, furthermore, 6 others have been penetrated fully (out of 40 damaged) and of those 6 only 2 were rendered combat ineffective, the rest were repaired and back on the frontline.

For reference, the Iraqi's have had more helicopters shot down than Abrams destroyed.

The meme of "muh tanks getting wrecked by atgms" stems largely from the fact that you have old tanks facing modern ATGM's.... 30 year old Leo's, 20 year old Abrams, 40 year old T72's etc etc etc While furthermore, a tank is not unkillable and never has been unkillable, even some of the most heavily armored tanks of their era the Ferdinand, Jagdtiger and Tiger II which could not be penetrated by allied guns were knocked out pretty regularly by guys with hollow charge weapons.

The only interesting and scary kill is that Leclerc that got whacked in Yemen... but, well, its French... sooo

It is even to specilized for many 1st world countries. It is built as an export helicopter, who would by that in this climate? Saudi Arabia?
