I have hnd in Accounting, I have ACA, i have MBA too, pls when filling MBA do they request for speciality or something cos I picked entrepreneurship back then, I started working as an audit trainee in 2004 after NYSC, I then did a contract job with one of dis big 4 audit firms between 2005 to 2007, moved to another audit firm in 2008 as an audit senior, started working as accountant in 2008 and av worked with two companies as accountant till date. Can I feel NOC 1111 as my area and then feel accountant wherever my profession is requested while I support with letters from all the companies I have worked. |

Wumiadeaj: Specialty doesn't matter when it comes to evaluation. Your MBA would most likely be assessed as equivalent of a Canadian Masters degree. Note that 3 years work experience gives you the highest point for that section. You may move others to the personal history section when you get ITA and filling your e-APR. So if you have worked up to 3 years or more in your present employment, that should be sufficient. Otherwise, you may have to obtain a reference letter for the previous employment. I don't think there is any harm in obtaining all if it's not too tedious for you. Check the job duties of your proposed code (NOC 1111) and see if it matches what you currently do. Google can very helpful here. 1 Like |

curllygee: I don't want to sound harsh, but my dear, you don't have the required experience to apply. You were teaching accounting as a Youth Corper and then an Accountant for 6 months. You need a minimum of 1 year under NOC 0, A or B |

peppers: Put jobs that you can't get reference letters for under the "personal history" section. Where you have gaps, put "Unemployed" there. Make sure there are no gaps! You should be fine if you can get reference letter for your present position which is more than 3 years already. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Java47: You did the right thing. Stick to that. And if you have an loe, pls upload in LOE section, even though it concerns POF or education or employment. Follow CIC's instruction. There is a reason they created the LOEs upload section. If you have several LOE's, you can make separate letters and merge as one PDF or you simply write just one letter with different bullets/subjects to tackle the different issues. curllygee: Boss13: 4031 is under category A. One year experience under that NOC is valid for Express Entry as long as it isn't stated at Youth Service, but Work Experience. 3 Likes

Hello people, a very excellent job you all are doing here. I have been a silent follower and this is my first post. Firstly, I must share my testimony. Read here sometimes ago of someone thanking God that he stayed in the pool for less than 24hours, I quickly claimed it. To the glory of God, we FINALLY created our profile the night of the 30th of May and alas! ITA landed 31st May! Thanks to God almighty. Thank you all. Now to my question, we have a challenge on proof of funds. Most of our monies is in a joint business account which we are both signatories. This account is very active with a monthly turnover of about 12M. Do we have to move the money to the Primary applicant or just use the business account as the POF account? 11 Likes |

eddycross: Good to know Secondary School Teachers are top Skill experience. However, I am not so sure about Youth Service. I was looking at the 6 months accounting. If NYSC is considered as employment, good enough. I know periods, when one is a trainee is not considered as skilled work 2 Likes |

40manlappy: That will be good. On the other hand, I don't know if CIC is familiar with the Nigerian transition from Education to Employment process in Nigeria and the need for Mandatory 1-year service. I know a lot of applicants indicate this, but I don't know if they are aware. 1 Like |

Morbolar: He would have stated that he was a banker because he works in a bank. He is not a practising accountant, so why would he say he is an accountant, even though he has qualified as a chartered accountant. He is a banker because he works in a bank; what does he do in the bank, he works in the compliance dept as a compliance officer. If he can rectify the problem, he should not hesitate at all |

sehawale: If they require Schedule A for your spouse, you will be contacted. I don't know if you are the P.A. If your spouse is P.A, better to submit to avoid delay. If it is you, you can proceed without submitting, you may not be asked. If it is necessary you will be contacted. 1 Like |
