So, I should not query the mode of selection ba?

I should close eyes like say I dey North Korea ba?

I have the right to express my thought and question anyone holding any public position.

Recall I have advised you before about this allegations thing. All these shouts of Arrangee and Nepotism shouts

I am one of the first persons here who criticised the invitation of Osimhen. That same day I was also against Musa Mohammed being played as our main RB.

Mohammed is out now but Osimhen is still in the team. The only sellable reason IMO is that he is a player for the future.

But just calm it and let's see how Rohr's plans for the boy turns out. If it turns out well is it not for the benefit of Nigerian football?

Okay lets follow your logic:

Since Omeruo fumbled as CB against Zambia he has NEVER returned there.
Against Zambia Ndidi played RB, ahead of Shehu
Omeruo was RB versus Algeria ahead of Shehu. Shehu replaced him in the 66th minute.
Ebuehi started as RB against Corsica ahead of Shehu in the absence of Omeruo
Omeruo started as RB against Senegal ahead of Ebuehi and Shehu
Shehu started as RB against Togo ahead of Ebuehi in the absence of Omeruo.

So this follows that... (although Rohr makes the final say)

modified**
Let me help you.
So far it follows that :
1. Omeruo is preferred among the trio at RB
2. Omeruo has never been used to pair Ekong at CB since the Zambia mishap
3. Shehu has been a regular call up and his closest rival seems to be the new entrant, Ebuehi
4. Awaziem even though a new entrant will most likely get the nod since Rohr has not tempered with that Awaziem-Ekong CB partnership even in test training matches. That's more like continuity in the absence of Balogun. It is LESS risky than an Omeruo-Ekong CB partnership AGAIN after a long time.

This was the exact deductive reasoning I used to come up with my earlier probably line up.
I don't think Rohr will be open to make more than one change in the defence. That one change could be Awaziem, while Omeruo maintains his spot at Rb.

Agent Explains Interest From Ligue 1 Side Nice In Arsenal Target Henry Onyekuru

A representative of the agency representing hot in demand KAS Eupen forward Henry Onyekuru has explained why French Ligue 1 side Nice are in for the striker who is rumored to be closing in on a move to Arsenal.

Arsenal have reported agreed a fee of around 6.8 million pounds for the 19 year old who scored 24 goals in his debut season in the Belgium top flight, but it appears talks have stalled due to other issues.

Nice have reportedly matched Arsenal’s offer and are currently tempting him with their ability to provide Champions League football, something Arsenal can’t afford next season.

” Nice met with us during the Super Eagles camp in France. A representative of the club is in Belgium as we speak now holding talks with Eupen. We are waiting to hear from them”, he told Owngoalnigeria.com.

” Arsenal for now are still his preferred choice but this is football you never can say never. Don’t forget they are in the Champions League and they have offered him the chance of regular playing time.

” All will be clear after the international break. For now we will choice the best option for him even though Arsenal is his dream team”.

Man City Iheanacho ‘House Hunting’ In London Ahead Of Possible West Ham Move

Kelechi Iheanacho is confident about his chances of joining English Premier League side West Ham United from Manchester City this summer, and has already start putting accommodation plans in place.

The 20 year old is in talks with West Ham over a possible move from Manchester City, and while talks have progressed nicely on his part, West Ham are yet to reach an agreement with Man City.

Man City and West Ham are yet to reach a compromise on the fee that will be inserted in the buy back option the Etihad side wants to maintain in the deal.

” He’s looking for accommodation in London. Last week he started gathering his belongings from his apartment in Manchester. The aim is to settle down quickly if eventually the move to West Ham happens as expected”, a close associate of the forward told Owngoalnigeria.com.

” For now he is focused on the AFCON 2019 Qualifiers game between Nigeria and South Africa, after the game a judgement on who is his legal representative will be delivered. If that is done expect the move to be announced immediately “.

Who would have been our second choice?

This reminds me of Edward Ansah of the then Iwuanyawu FC of Owerri, a Ghanaian.

Ansah was so much criticised by the Iwuayanwu fans me inclusive. I cannot forgot how we lost 4-0 to Setif of Algeria in the final of the 1989 African Cup winners cup. We won 1-0 in Lagos Or Enugu (forgotten) but lost the second leg 4-0.

In late 1990, Nigeria was to play Ghana in the 1992 AFCON qualifiers. Lo and behold Edward Ansah was their goalie.

There were a lot of Ghanaians in my locality in Lagos then. Come and see how we bad mouthed them that Ansah could be their best goalie.

Lo and behold we lost 1-0 to Ghana in Accra and drew 0-0 in Lagos. Edward Ansah did not concede against Nigeria.

We met again in the semis of the 1992 AFCON and Ghana won 2-1 with Edward Ansah still in goal.

So forget those SA fans football is not that way.

Funny enough, Akpeyi made his super Eagles debut against the same South Africans in the Mandela challenge friendly. He was the man of the match on the night.
He even caught a penalty in the game. Bafana fans should continue Laughing, we will know who will laugh last.

This Awaziem-Omeruo argument.... hmm! Frankly, I see no basis for the argument for the following reasons
1. We are not in camp to assess what happened at the training.(regardless of what any newspaper reports or journos say)
2. It is also the prerogative of the coach as to who he chooses to field and as to what purpose. (And trust me, Rohr's shoes is not what any of us wanna be in right now)
3. What matters the most is 3 points. End of discussion!

It was not the Nelson Mandela Challenge. It was just a friendly. That game finished 1-1. Ahmed Musa put Nigeria ahead with about 10mins left. While they equalised late into injury time. Leon Balogun was the culprit.

Exactly. You recall perfectly. I frankly didn't rate Balogun in his early days playing for the super eagles. I recall the game in Kaduna against Egypt, he played at Rb, looked uncomfortable all afternoon.

In the friendly against SA, Akpeyi had a blinder. So good on the night he caught a penalty. I recall the the press heralded him as the heir apparent to Enyeama after the fine evening outting.
How suddenly, people are panicking when his name is mentioned shows how fickle minded football fans are.

wasn't it the game we won 2-0? Balogun did not play the match and it was....Anthony Ujah or someone like that with a brace. I think it was Uche Nwofor, not so sure

What proof do you have that he lost form? Atleast statistically he has more clean sheet this season than Alampasu who seem have a lot of fans here.
It is on record that Alampasu lost his place in the Portuguese 3rd div after the team couldn't win any game he started after 11-13 games.

Austin Ejide was in goal for that Mandela challenge friendly and Uche Nwofor got the brace. The game was played in 2013. Balogun was not in the team yet.

But the one Goldfish80 is referring to was played I think in 2014, after the WC. Daniel Akpeyi had his debut and Balogun played RB. His poor judgement of the ball on the touch line cost us the late equalizer.

It was not a form thing. He was just acclimatizing to African football.
Recall Siasia dropped him from the list and later reinvited him.
Siasia was not sure he could cope well.

I don't tink so, it was injury and lost of form, as well the outstanding form of the second choice keeper that drooped him to the bench

And Solanke is going to make up numbers he is going to have to fight like a lion to get into the first team.

If he is going to make the numbers I don't think he will Chelsea for liverpool-fc.

Liverpool-fc is very much aware of his predicament at Chelsea hence the reason they took the advantage, except dey wan deceive join the club.
