There was heavy rainfall that started around 11:00AM and it lasted for approximately one and a half hour. Computer village area of Ikeja was flooded. At some places the water was knee deep.

Even some places in developed countries get flooded. This is the effect of climate change and ignorance among the populace who turn drainages to waste bins.

And also to you reading this who would throw trash on the road, this is the dividend of your hand work. So before any of you fools blame the government, ask what you have done.

Look who is talking, the unstable one, I've been observing you on this forum. You are so politically confused, you stand for nothing always here today and there tomorrow. I'm very sure if I asked the pictures of your state today it would be worse than what we have here or If it was pictures of a flooded street in Florida, probably you would have opened you sh!thole of a mouth to say "Trump is working".. What did I even expect from a serial political jobber, slowpoke, who is only interested in his stomach.
If you had enough sense and grace you would have know you should address the issue and leave the person. But what was expecting from you?

But when it occurs in the Niger delta it isn't climate change but an absence of government responsibility.

Speaking on climate change, California state was duly advised on excessive flooding to be expected for this year owing to El Nino warming in the southern Pacific. This same California that has witnessed a drought for over 10yrs put in place contingency plans and arrangements to both harvest excessive rain water and reinforce their reservoir dams.

Stop dishing out lame defenses for your mediocre lagos state govt.

Tonye is indeed a confused man but you afonjas are a race of confusion.

Why do you remember climate change and deliberate blocking of drainage as a result of the annual flooding that plague that your slum city but when any report of flooding is recorded in the Niger Delta you will begin to blame their governors?

What is my business with niger delta? Did you see nicer Delta in post abi is your village people doing party on your head.
Mediocre you say, now I know your sense has been eaten up in the coven.
.
You are a fool for doing the following:
1) For comparing the neglect of nigerdelta roads by their state Governors( roads that obviously have no drainage what do you expect?) to a road in Lagos that is obvious to you has drainage, but either due to human(waste clogging) or natural factors(global warming)
.
2) For you to compare the rainfall pattern of California to Lagos shows you're a nitwit Dumbo, the coastal state in the US whose rainfall Pattern is comparable to that of Lagos is Florida. And they experience flood there too.
.
But honestly I don't know what your point is whether you are seeking an excuse for your inept governors in nigerdelta whose efforts are not commiserate with the funds they receive. It is only a foolish person who will compare the performance of Ambode with any nigerdelta governor.

That's why you hide under the umbrella of denigrating a whole ethnic group whixhbis characteristic of bigots. So run along now and go argue with someone who would stool so low to engage in tribal bigotry with you.
