All I know is Morata will do just what CR has done in this team if given the same opportunity. You don't have to dilate the legendary status of CR. His career is great, yes. But he is not responsible for the greatness of this Madrid team. Zizou is. I will still remain mute about Messi until he has a great success with his teammates. |

Ronaldo is a great footballer, on his day he is a world beater but mehn Messi has got to be to most talented footballer to have ever played the game of football. Both are great but I will rather have Messi and the Brazilian Ronaldo anytime any day 2 Likes |

Then when I started asking why he deserved those ballon d'ors you started fuming, rather than answer my question. If na by number of ballon d'ors, no one would be talking about Pele, Maradonna and Cryuff, Na CR7 and LM10 go dey drag GOAT and the others would be struggling for no 3 on the football legends list. Henry and Totti won the world cup as influential members of their squads (Totti was the highest assist leader in the 2006 world cup), Basten didn't. Henry won the Euros and Champions league. If Totti didn't have that embarrassing loyalty to Roma, he'd have achieved more. His gameplay was extra-terrestrial. So, if you want to tell me that Basten is better simply because he didn't have a tough competition, then you are typing out loads of crap. And I didn't say Messi did not deserve the Ballon D'Or in 2015. I said Suarez deserved instead of Messi (because Ballon D'or is for a calendar year, and in the later part of 2015 (first half of 15/16 season), Suarez was amazing). The winner had to be from Barcelona, they won the treble for crying out loud. And to seal up your ignorance, you put Maradona and George Best in the same sentence. Who does that? How can you say Pele was not a better dribbler than Messi? Do you know what dribbling is? Stick the ball to your leg and run past players. Pele didn't do it as good as Garrincha or Heleno, but he was better than Messi. Watch the clips. The person that shouldn't even be coming up is Maradona, his wasn't as smooth as Pele and Messi, and he sure as hell wasn't as consistent as the latter two. So when you say Maradona is ahead of Pele in dribbling, I know you are talking out of your backside. Maradona is up there is the legend list because he shone in really big stages and could carry teams where there weren't many world class players, whether it was the Argentinian national team or Napoli. It doesn't make his dribbling superb. Garrincha's issue was his abrupt end. He didn't have the longevity that Pele had. But if you are talking about pure talent for dribbling, Garrincha was miles ahead of Pele, Maradona, Messi et cetera. That you can watch Messi now does not make him the greatest ever dribbler. I watched Messi destroy Nigeria in U-20 (when Mikel was the second best of the tournament) and the Olympics. Whether it is because of the opposition, I'd never know. But that Messi if he played in recent main international competitions would have seized the initiative to have won at least one international trophy whether he was playing with waste pipes or not. That is what make players legends. I still think he has it in him. Copa America is played every two years. He still has two more world cups when he'd still be playing at the top level. So for your sakes, I hope he does cement his name in the history books in the coming years and make the CR7/LM10 duo dispatch the Pele/Maradona duo (with their disgusting rivalry) from the top. -Lord 1 Like |

lodphil: He is overrated by his fans. Whether you accept it or not doesn't even bother me. He is a legend, but most LM10 fans say he is the GOAT simply because he had a terrific 4 year spell with the best club team of the last two decades. That is being overrated. You guys say he was carrying the team. Now that Xavi is no longer there, the team is struggling. Nai b say if Iniesta and Busquets comot, una no go dey top 3 for la liga. That is what overrated means. You guys downplay other players contributions and inflate LM10's contributions. When the fact is that LM10 didn't have to play for Barca to win those trophies, as the Spanish team won trophies with same style but without LM10. Nah... Messi is a far better footballer than Ronaldo. However Madrid has a stronger squad than Barcelona at the moment, so it may not be easy for untrained eyes to notice. One is just an athlete that scores an incredible amount of goals; the other is a playmaker that splits defences for his teammates to score (or squander) and still has time to score as many goals as (and at times more than) the guy who simply lurks around the net waiting for passes to tap in. You can compare the success of their careers, their wealth, their social media popularity, but never ask who the better footballer is. Everyone knows who, and some like to dismiss it as natural talent without hardwork. 2 Likes |

Hehehehe so many people that don't watch ball will be writing Ronaldo z better than MessI..Ronaldo z a better attacker but Messi z a total footballer...no attacker has dt amount of goals + assist Messi has ... Ronaldo z just a poacher..finds himself in great positions and scores...that's his major assignment..he doesn't do as much as Ramos or Casemiro or Isco but ah think in football nowadays tiz only the player that scores that matters...Ronaldo z surrounded by a great team of players all he has to do z score..where as Messi z d team...Check Messi's no of touches,passes in a game, dribbles...please never yhu compare them oooo.. Rapahel1116: U don't love CR7 guy. You guys are the ones overrating Messi. If I gave a nickel every time I read a comment from LM10 fans overplaying Messi's achievements and gameplaying ability, I'd be broke for eternity. I remember in his peak, when Barcelona didn't need to have a world-class goalkeeper, because of how good the team was. You guys did well to make a big deal of his achievements. But what you guys have been doing for the last 5 years is shameful, overrating what Messi does and his impact. You can't keep calling a player better because of achievements he had 5 years ago, ignore his underachievements in recent time, then the worst part downplay the achievements of the dominant player of the last 5 years ago. Ronaldo was a dribbler while Rooney was a scorer. At that time, Rooney was rated higher than Ronaldo because he scored goals. Soon after, Ronaldo realized tat in football, goals are all that matters, and so in 2006/07 season after the world cup in Germany, he revolutionized his game and started scoring more than he dribbled. The result, thhe personal and team awards he has gathered since then. |
