nelszx: The Dutch team has been awful for a while now. The team is not as good as it used to be. Ivory Coast should not be losing so heavily to them. |

maidaboi: Your 100% correct I will not see him because I can only talk with authority about what I know, and that's English football predominantly. If he was in Portugal, Germany or Holland a small possibility I might see him. I visit these countries maybe 3/4 times a year. I am currently in Portugal for sometime. |

BascoVanVeli: The Dutch league is ranked 13th by UEFA not me and it is lower than Ukraine and Switzerland. Having watched the Eredivisie and in this case the lower Dutch leagues its quite obvious it's not anywhere near the Championship and my estimation is about on par with English League 2. You may disagree but that's my opinion. |

adegwurulez: Totally different parameters and circumstances KC is contending with World class tried and tested players in one of the richest and biggest clubs in the world. There is no comparison furthermore he is not on the same level of Aguero and yes as bitter as it may be for some Gabriel. Finally Pep really doesn't rate him enough to give him the game time. Currently I would say he is about our best truly top class forward player. |

This Osimhen matter don tire me. Does he usually make matchday squad for SE until the latest friendlies? There is room for a joker in a team. Ronaldo 9 went to USA 94 without kicking a ball. Did he deserve it? But the rest is history. What Rohr sees is what we can't see. When you have ran the rule over the boy personally, you can criticize. It's too early to judge Osmhen's club performance unless you just hate the boy. All the players we are clamoring for cannot make the starting 11. Invitation and integration is a gradual process especially in a winning team like ours. Oasis007: 2 Likes |

Italy came from 1 goal down and 1 man down to beat Zambia 3-2. Since after eliminating France and now Zambia even with 1man down from the 43rd mins, they have become strong favorites. 1 Like |

tbaba1234: Initially it was reported that Kayode's and Onyekuru's names were missing from the initial list. Alot of eye brows were raised. Dont tell me you've forgotten. Much is expected of Osimhen obviously, but I have seen you argue that Nwakali should bid his time and wait because we have our midfield already stock. Time and time again, you have ran with this line of argument. Can't one make same arguement about Osimhen since we have strikers in Europe performing at top gear. Nwakaeme, Onachu, Kayode and Onyekuru were top scorers in their league. Why can't the same argument be made about Osimhen if not the fact that he's a personal favorite of most people here? 3 Likes |

The problem is when we think a player has done better at the club level and should be considered ahead of another right away. Guys there are several factors in play. Invitation and dropping of a player is not based SOLELY on club performance. Personally as a coach, if Osimhen impresses me in camp, the likelihood of me inviting him again is higher than inviting someone who JUST STARTED shining at club level. Coaches know that club form does not automatically translate internationally, which is why they give it time, until they are convinced they should give a new player a chance. Guys lets not forget that Mikel Agu has been in form all season. He just got his chance. But Orji just started shining.. If some of us here were coaches our player invitation list will change drastically every time because we go by the players performance after every club match. na wa oh. And to the Ajagun matter. It is one thing to say he deserves a call up. It's yet another to say he is better than someone who have been flawless for SE, just because he seems more versatile. If Okocha were playing today will you say Ajagun is better because he is more versatile? Rohr may not need that versatility in the team at the moment. A jack of all trade is not necessarily a master of any. Versatility does not always mean better. Yes Ajagun could be an option in the future. I'm not saying he is not good enough. Just because he is #10 in his club does not mean if he were in SE right now he will be considered ahead of Mikel, Iwobi, or Etebo in that role. We are talking about Roda JC for God sake. Can you name another player in that team? Are they even still in the Eredivisie? goldfish80: 3 Likes 1 Share |

goldfish80: Just see as you are writing like if you are an Oracle. Isaac Success arrived late to camp while Awoniyi had time to blend with the team and coaches tactics. That is not stepping up in my dictionary. After Mikel's U17 until today, we are yet to see someone stepping up to his level. So you can not say you are sure that someone would have stepped up. Football does not work like that. Has Osimhen done enough to merit a call-up? Rohr already identified his special talents. Had camping sessions with them. He is in the best position to tell if Osimhen has done enough. Not you. Keep in mind, Rohr is conversant with German youth football system and has more insight into the development area of young talents in Germany. If Rohr feels Osimhen needs to come to camp, he has my one hundred percent support. 1 Like |

komekn:I wasn't even comparing KC and Osimhen. Everybody keeps saying Osimhen doesn't merit a call up(I'm not even willing to indulge in this cos from my standpoint, the facts are insufficient to make a solid argument), my question therefore is, what is the standard for measuring merit? Is it solely dependent on the number of minutes the person in question has played? If so, Akpeyi has made 28 starts this season, why then are we still getting the jitters at the mention of his name cos going by forum standards he merits his spot. There are more important things to factor in before player selection. Playing time has never and will never be the sole criterion for selection else midiocre players playing weekly in Belarus and other mediocre leagues also "Merit' an invite. Talent trumps playing time and that is why Iheanacho will keep his spot even without getting the much desired playing time. Same thing happened to Mikel before the world cup. 4 Likes |

Joebie: That's the Reason I've been avoiding making Comments on this Thread. Hatred?! Why should I hate him? Why should I take my Critics on his Invitation so personal to the extent of hating him?! Can you tell me the Reason Isaac didn't make List?! He's also a great Lad with huge Potentials. So why didn't he make the List and no one is crying or wailing over it?! It's very simple to answer - he's unfit, match rusty and couldn't get enough playing time at his Club. Forget what some Newspapers were saying about his Attitude at the Camp, we ain't there, hence we can't be so sure of their Reports on him. Are you saying Osimhen is fit enough to be in the Team?! How many Goals did he score for his Club that warrants is inclusion in the List?! Guess you wanna tell me he's just back from Injury?! Then he should be allowed to recuperate, coz we ain't playing friendly Match against South Africa in Uyo. 3 Likes |

Joebie: this thread tire me. When people question Shehu's inclusion in the team because we have better fullbacks some people will say it's because he is versatile(I even accepted that assumption), now it's Ajagun's turn and you guys are saying Rohr doesn't want versatile players, what then does Rohr want? |

Joebie:on this thread, goldeñ horses are not necessarily indispensable, they are the players who we defend come rain come shine. Na because of them we fit rack up 10 pages in an hour. Those are the golden horses in this context. And while V Moses may be an important player, he is not a golden horse because he is not.dedicated to the National team and quite frankly, I have not seen an argument concerning him that has racked up to four pages, even less ten. Generally, there is a lukewarm feeling to him. Etebo is certainly on a maybe list The golden boys are the ones threadmates are most passionate about. Even Aluko and Solanke could make the list of maybes 1 Like |

Having watched like 4 matches of England U20 team at this on going FIFA U20 world cup, I will like to rate these Nigerian players: 1.) Ademola Lookman ~ 9 is the best among them. 2.) Onomah Josh ~ 8 had his best match against the Korean team 3.) Fikayo Tomori ~ 7.5 4.) Seyi Ojo ~ 7 5.) Ovie Ejare ~ 6.5 too much sideway passes 6.) Dominic Solanke ~ 5.5 just average... Xlad: Why give Ovie a lower rating because of his sideways passing? Most times, keeping possession is important in the midfield game and extravagant play should be avoided. Did not have time to watch but I do not think sideways passing is a good reason to reduce someone's rating. |

TheGoodJoe: Awoniyi established himself in the team immediately Success got injured, Awoniyi didn't stand still, after the U17 WC, he went to to have a fine tournament at the AYC spear heading the attack. He was simultaneously playing for the U20s and U 23s at a point. His fine run of form made him undroppable at the WYC. If we can't boast of another player within the age of Osimhen who could replace him in our U20 team through out the length and breath of the country, we should forget about playing football and invest our time in other sport. |

Oasis007:hian, wjy is the inclusion peppering you like this? If you have been following this thread, you should know that Isaac did not make the list because he exempted himself with his nonchalant attitude. Anyone who is a regular here, is well aware of Isaac's antecedents, he is very similar to Moses, but unlike V Moses, he is very dispensable Secondly, considering this is not a friendly like you said, why should you be bothered with Osimhen's inclusion when only 14 of 23 players will get on that pitch on Saturday? So, you think a player who is on equal level as Iheanacho and Kayode will come and sit on the bench knowinh he won't even get to kick a ball? Una dey reason the matter sef? Osimhen is not going to kick a ball, na only three subs we get and unless SA break the legs of Kelechi, Kayode, Onyekuru, Etebo and Musa, it is not likely Osimhen will face SA. If that is your problem with his inclusion, rest easy, he is going to be about as involved as Alampasu on Saturday |
