vcole: Excuse me please - you are the one shoving it down people's throat on a restricted way to do things. You are not an immigration lawyer neither are you a VO. I have a good friend in Canada who did the same thing and he was advised by an Immigration Lawyer in Canada who in also in contact with. When this argument started, 3 different Nigerian P.Rs in Canada came out to say they did the same. Please let's not restrict the choices and flexibility in this process. There is no rule and if you don't understand what a rule is go get yourself a dictionary. There are guidelines and that is what you posted. The same guidelines we have all read. What you are your cohorts are suggesting is the very reason there is intense scrunity on Nigerian applications. Your spouse transferred to you without gift deed. Did you actually sit down to think of it. It's the same as you transferring money to your other account and explaining it. Your VO saw no difference because you and your spouse are the same damn it!!! But I have read where people are advised to transfer and use gift deed and likewise abuse the very essence of gift deed. The VO sees no difference between you and your spouse and that's the flexibility we are talking about. If this was my opinion, I will state it - this is FACT. Tested and trusted, just like what you did. So please bug off 4 Likes |

Dis gift deed is overflogged here. we have seen proofs and counterproofs dat d POF must b from d PA. In my opinion, I believe it's okay to have d fund in any of the two accounts(PA or Spouse) but it's better u put d fund in d pa's account cos it's safer and it's stated. The truth is dat some things are erroneously stated on d website or probably outdated but yet to be updated IMO. For instance, I still believe dat d question dat was deliberated upon here dat had to do with filling schedule A or something for having been denied visa before isn't well presented on d website. There are 2 questions there and I think they should ordinarily be different. D 2nd one still asks if one has been denied visa before though with other questions. I want to believe dat they actually wanted to put d question of being removed or denied entry before. But d way it's stated, one has to answer yes to d two despite only being denied visa. In conclusion, put d fund in d PA's account and avoid d headache of it flying or not. It doesn't cost anything guyz. Abi una dey fear una spouse ni? 1 Like |

Boss13: We have all read them too canada visa forum, British experts but I won't in good conscience tell someone to go through a route that I don't have facts for. I am a lawyer I work with facts, laws, guidelines. I can argue for and against a person that I can see. I can't see the VO, I don't intend to take that risk. When the person wants to file an appeal for instance based on what law would I tell he/she to base it on? Hearsay evidence is inadmissible. Hopefully one of the people you advise would go through this your route and it suceeds, then we will advise accordingly. Arrogant or not, not my concern. All I know is I am going to canada 9 Likes |

Good Afternoon Everyone. I've been a silent follower. I have learnt so much from this thread. Thanks to the founders and contributors. I intend entering the pool by July/August. I recently sent credentials to WES. I should have 427 points. But with regards to POF, a family friend has offered to give me the money as a loan (I currently have just what i need fir all the processing) and i pay back from Canada. Please, how do i go about it? I can only get the funds after ITA. Thus, it wouldn't have spent 6 months in ny account and there would be a sudden surge in my account balance. Any ideas/suggestions on how i can make it work would be appreciated. Thank you. |

@vcole @dupyshoo @40manlappy @optionese Pls I need clarification on my marital status name.I am going to be the PA and I'm still using my maiden name after marriage, both my local and foreign certificate bears my maiden name and also my bank accounts I intend to use. Also my first intl passport and the recent reissue one I did last month both bears my maiden name, only of course my court registry certificate which bears a "compound name" comprising of my maiden+hubby name? My Question now is, hope it won't pose any probs as regards my application. Thanks in advance for your responses. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by dupyshoo: 3:27pm On Jun 05, 2017 |
I think this issue of whether the POF should be in PA's account or accompanying spouse account should be left alone. I think it all started with my post. I advised based on what worked for me and has worked for a lot of family members. I have never stated that POF in accompanying spouse account will be rejected and I have never said that a gift deed should be used when you are transferring money from spouse account to PA's account. If you want to leave it in the spouse account, then do it, if you want to transfer it to the PA's account and write a LOE to back it up, then do that. 10 Likes |

Good day beautiful people. I will be grateful of someone shares the CIC address to send all correspondence post ITA to e.g. Work Reference Letters, POF and LOE. Thanks for your time. Cheers. |

I used my maiden name as principal applicant (yet to change my name) and there was no issue with it. It is strange though that your marriage certificate has compound name as it is usually in your maiden name. What I will advise is this: try and get the marriage certificate reissued. If you can't, use your maiden name and just include a LOE that only your court registry certificate has a different name (combination of your spouse name and your maiden name). joyuzo: 2 Likes |

MzWalls: Many people are really bothering thier head about this issue. My guy who left for canada in jan simply told me to leave the money there for 1month or 2. Hes account was low the previous months. He didnt give any explanation and hes visa was approved. Well decision relies on how flexible the VO is. 2 Likes |

ymummy234: It is not easy my sister but life must go on You can use the period to research on life in Canada generally so as to have a realistic outlook of the proposed relocation i.e. province/city to reside, housing, jobs, cost of living etc My wife and I decided not to log on to our IRCC account until medicals. It has not been easy but so far, we have been successful on that. Tbh, it is not easy not to think about it 1 Like |

In your bid not to sound arrogant, you actually do and have been from the time I spotted your posts on this thread... Your opinion is understood and noted... You do not need to force it down people. I can see you have a good definition of what a Rule is, but it is clearly 'stated' on the website of the organization issuing he visas that the POF should be in the PA's name (very clearly written). If doing otherwise worked for you or someone you know, congrats. But do not try to make people do other than what has been clearly stated. The problem we have, I believe, is that we do not want to read... We would rather heed other people's advice or opinion when the real info you need stares at you in the face. As per POF, whatever tickles anyone's fancy should be done... And pls share your experiences so that everyone can learn. All the best! Boss13: 11 Likes |

It has been a month now since eAPR submission and AOR. God knows I have logged onto my account like 5 or 6 times within that period. Lol. I have resolved to stop checking. No point. They will kuku send a notification when one's status changes...at least that is what they say. As I have always preached, we are in the patient waiting room. And so shall we wait...till Canada comes calling. ymummy234: 3 Likes |

bigbroda: Exactly! Just the same way CIC did not make it compulsory/transparent for us to include original ECA in education history but they have rejected plenty peeps especially those who started EE in the early times (2015). Now we are learning from their mistakes and including it because we nor wan hear story!. I know exactly what's happening here as regards this POF issue. Both vcole, dupsyshoo and boss13 though with different points and opinions, are all right because both methods have proofs to have worked successfully. (yall check cv forum search bar). Butt this confusion is as a result of the fact that CIC isn't direct or straightforward on certain aspects of this PR application like I gave example above. Also wee can't say they have double standards, because this is immigration matter which is delicate. And like vcole said, it's more delicate and sensitive once it concerns Nigerian apps. For this reason, people just want to be safe and stick to the published website rule even though other rules also fly. These things just depends on VO discretion....but who really wants VO to begin play Tenten on their application? LOL So yall should understand this fact! Na CIC cause am. No nairalnader here is actually tryna be overzealous, it's just wise caution. SHALLOM 8 Likes 1 Share |

Please you people should not mislead people or use what is not known to Nigeria as a process here. people have gone this far to jeopardise their chances with gift deed. why dont we play safe? they really do background check on information supplied and some nigerians are part of their staff.
