I've been following this thread for a while. This is however my first post.

I'm sorry if the question is redundant.

1. I want to apply for WES for my BSc. I would like to know if I can ask that the report be sent to a friend in US. Am I going to need only the softcopy?? cheesy This is in a bid to cut cost. Kindly help clarify.

2. I am currently preparing for IELTS and plans to write the exam next month. Is there any hint as to getting high scores. I saw someone mentioning not indicating purpose of writing. I'm gunning for band 8. I've written TOEFL before and scored 102 hence the confidence. I'm single with 3+ years of experience and hope to leverage on the test.

3. I have age discrepancies in several of my documents (criticism is allowed smiley I really never knew by BD). My International Passport bears Bleep while my WAEC and BSc transcript contained yyy. I've been trying to stick with the age in my International passport for most international applications. Can someone please educate how to navigate these challenges.

Someone should please help with 1 and 2.

I've done my best to read previous posts. It ain't easy.

@Boss13, just wondering if the bank's covering letter is still mandatory if one is using largely FD or TB for the pof? Thanks

from my experience - i used both FD bank statements (not all my accounts cos the documents was to large and the least it could reduce up to was 6mb to still make sense- otherwise it wont be legible) - The letter from the bank was quite difficult and it may need you to escalate it to their manager or speak with your account officer. For my GTB account - the letter was quite impressive and the only information it did not have was the indemnity part which was issued using a separate letter - all bank balance was stated - date of opening was stated - average balance can be seen in the statement of account. The best way to request your reference letter from the bank is to go formal with them - i wrote a formal letter detailing info i wanted. Same thing for my other banks. Try as much as possible to get reference letter from the bank biko.

Toh ppl want to wound themselves with 'overthinking' the POF. ..I also know som1 who just had a 3 months old FD, and he got his COPR! The final decision lies with the VOs, I guess, and God's favour....ours is just to try due diligence & follow the stated rules and back it up with prayers. Shikena!

Zilifish:

Many people are really bothering thier head about this issue. My guy who left for canada in jan simply told me to leave the money there for 1month or 2. Hes account was low the previous months. He didnt give any explanation and hes visa was approved. Well decision relies on how flexible the VO is.

It is the soft copy of your WES evaluation you need, so you can get it delivered safely to wherever you want, the receiver can scan and send to you.

Band 8 for IETS is not impossible but ensure you do not underestimate the exam. Every examination has its own principle that candidate must understand well, no matter how easy it appears. There are useful tips and practice test on lizielts (google it) and also practice with the link you will receive when you register with BC.

All the best!

I didn't use an affidavit but what you are planning sounds reasonable.

However, do you have a reference letter or any documentary proof (appointment letter, etc) of the "correct" occupation? I think you can use them to complement the affidavit and a letter of explanation (LOE).
Yes I have got appointment letter and reference letter. I will have to be 100% sure that affidavit is acceptable so that I don't risk messing up my application.
Thanks for the info.

Am affidavit would be a good idea. You can also write an application to the registry if your place of marriage is close by.

It has been stated previously that gift deed is not a Nigerian thing. Thank you for stating it again.

On a serious note, not doing it for the money so I doubt that your offer would make me abandon this Canny quest. I want a saner environment, access to better healthcare, work-life balance and a better standard of living; all for myself and family.

ARE U GUYS READY FOR THE CHANGES TOMORROW?

News Release
From Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada

June 5, 2017—Markham, ON – Improvements to the Express Entry system taking effect tomorrow help support the integration of skilled workers as they build their new life in Canada. This benefits Canada as newcomers are able to more quickly put their skills to use to help strengthen and grow Canada’s economy.

Starting on June 6, new points will be awarded to candidates with siblings in Canada. Studies have shown that as newcomers build a new life in Canada, those with siblings benefit by having improved integration into Canadian society.

Other changes to the Express Entry system include points for candidates with strong French language skills, removing the requirement to register with Job Bank and a new approach to rank tied candidates in the Express Entry pool.

Programs managed through the Express Entry system attract high-skilled foreign workers and former international students who want to live in Canada permanently and whose in-demand skills are needed by employers across the country to help build businesses and grow the economy.

I have read comments from this thread and the way they are being portrayed; it appears people intend to use it to stay relevant or to be liked and would insist you do it their way. That's not my aim needless to say that I don't seek such things. Hence my blunt response. However, I will address concerns especially indicating the flexibilities and choices available to make it easier and to address confusions.

Please see more evidence on this issue. Apart from the first link which is from CIC in 2014, others are updated 2017 version of provinces in Canada.

I particularly liked the way BC insist they will include your spouse's application and earnings except you notify them of a divorce or separation. This strongly continues to indicate that they see spouses as one.

Nice one! Does one need to get a letter from d pension company again to prove dat one can access 25% of his/her pension fund especially as they are already aware? I think one should just request for his account statement from d company and state it in d LOE dat he has access to 25% of d fund few months upon resigning provided by d pension act. Dis might b a good option especially if d pension coy isn't ready to give any letter.

If your Pension refuses to reply just add this link below :
It is the Pension reforms act of 2014. Remember to tell them its on page 11 o.
Vo's might not have time to read a 66 page document.

I used my maiden name as principal applicant (yet to change my name) and there was no issue with it.
It is strange though that your marriage certificate has compound name as it is usually in your maiden name.

What I will advise is this: try and get the marriage certificate reissued. If you can't, use your maiden name and just include a LOE that only your court registry certificate has a different name (combination of your spouse name and your maiden name).

Thanks @Optionese @dupyshoo....I appreciate your responses. My Court Marriage & Wedding was in 2014, and I n first son applied same year for my uk visit visa and it was approved. I will go make Enquiry on the reissue as u adviced, but will ask hubby if he ok with the reissue?
