It takes 20business days once they receive ALL your required documents. However, there might be need for verification from institution along the line, you will be contacted if need be. For me, I waited 20 days from the day my institution responded to their verification, then I chatted them up on facebook with my query and reference number. My ECA got completed the same day of the FB enquiry. I have heard of people that used tweeter...either ways, be sure of the information you are submitting query over. crazyinlove: 2 Likes |

For people waiting for the profiles to be updated with siblings' point, your profiles will be updated automatically but it might take days. See below extract from CIC website. DEPARTMENT OF CITIZENSHIP AND IMMIGRATION Current instructions last amended on June 6, 2017. Notice: Amendments have been made to the Ministerial Instructions for the Express Entry Application Management System and came into force on June 6, 2017. The Ministerial Instructions were modified to: Add Comprehensive Ranking System points for at least one sibling in Canada: 15 points for at least one sibling in Canada who is a permanent resident or Canadian citizen, residing in Canada and 18 or over. Add Comprehensive Ranking System points for good French-language proficiency: 15 points for test results of the Niveaux de compétence linguistique canadiens (NCLC) at level 7 or higher in all four language skills in French (listening, speaking, reading and writing); and, Another 15 points for test results of the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) at level 5 or higher in all four language skills in English, in addition of test results of NCLC at level 7 or more in all four language skills in French. Add a new approach to rank candidates with the same Comprehensive Ranking System score: The Express Entry system will continue to rank candidates by their CRS score, but where a CRS tie exists, all tied candidates will then be ranked based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profile. For consistency and clarity, the Ministerial Instructions were also modified as follows: Note: All changes are in place since June 6, 2017. Some foreign nationals might not see their Comprehensive Ranking System score change for several days. All scores will be updated before the next round of invitations to apply where the Express Entry system detects that points are changed. There are no new questions to answer in the Express Entry profile. Foreign nationals do not need to update their profile unless they wish to provide new information related to these changes. Applications for permanent residence for foreign nationals invited to apply before June 6, 2017 will be assessed based on the previous Ministerial Instructions. |

Good evening house, have been a silent follower and have been reading the pages for information.I must commend every one for their contributions. My fiance and I want to enter the EE pool, is it advisable to do it individually or get married and apply as a couple to get more scores? We are writing the test next month and have started the IQAS process. Thanks. |

Well...this subject is more of a personal decision. You want us to advise you to go get married? Yes o, do! I will suggest you face the journey together as a couple. Depending on your plan, chances are that both of you will even be married before the end of the mission so you will end up trying to make things fit into each other's application. And if you choose to apply as singles, remember it means planning for 2 different applications...POF et al As for the score, it won't make a difference after all, since both of you are planning to write English test and do ECA, so that will balance out. I think you should go ace your English test and worry yourself about who should be the principal applicant by calculating your score However,I am not implying you hold on with entering the pool if you know marriage is still so far away o.... All the best! Petite22: |

Good evening all. I notified CIC about a change in my marital status on May 8th (Submitted my application & received AOR in April). I used the Case Specific Inquiry form and also sent a mail to CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca. Received this email today: Dear Madam, Thank you for contacting our office. We received your inquiry. Please note that your application is currently being processed at the Centralized Intake Office in Sydney, Nova Scotia. For all general inquiries please refer to our website: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/index.asp Please submit any inquiries via our web form and your inquiry will be redirected to the correct office: https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx. You may also contact the Call Centre, toll-free from within Canada, at 1-888-242-2100. I thought they were going to send a link for me to upload docs for my spouse or has this changed? And does this mean my application isn't being processed in Ghana? |

optionese:Hi dear. I uploaded my marriage certificate under the slot for that and uploaded an affidavit of change of names and newspaper publication under the slot for legal name change because I already had those documents. If you don't, I think you can just upload the marriage certificate in both slots. @ persons with concerns about the recent ruling on LGA marriage certificates. I believe someone had mentioned here that laws are not retroactive. Go to the registry and attempt to get a replacement for it as the news article stated, otherwise use it like that. The ruling addressed LGA certificates that were customised and did not conform with the Form E. @ymummy, my wait was barely weeks but felt like years. I requested for gcms notes twice. Lol! I logged into my cic account severally. Just hang in there. 1 Like 1 Share |
