SirWere:You are wrong bro. Corruption is not the reason but the system. Why do you think most european countries thrive? It is because majority of their countries are monoethnic. They are not stupid....afterall they created most african countries. Asian countries like japan, south korea are not excluded. Even in china, the largest ethnic group makeup 92 percent of the country. This is why they are developing. You talked about nepotism. Is it not because of our diversity? Corruption exist because of ethnic sentiment. Even though we know our leaders are corrupt, we rather support them because we share same ethnicity with them. This cannot happen in a separate yoruba country because there will be no ethnic sentiment. This is reality we must face that our fathers ignored 7 Likes |

Hmmn, it is well, the funny thing is after all these ethnocentric e_wars we all get to interact with each other few hours from now, as someone rightly said, the real problem of Nigeria is corruption, I don't care the tribe or religion of those at the corridors of Power, my question is are they competent and selfless, if yes then go ahead and make Nigeria better, otherwise Nigeria will continue towing the path of poor national development. Truthfully speaking Igbos have been marginalized and if the Yorubas and Hausas were to be in their shoes they would react same, what sauces for the goose sauce for the genders.. The more we're together the happier we shall be, it is always the right time for the right person to do the right thing for the right reason. 1 Like |

comrChris:Well, like I said they are e-trolls. I honestly condemn this move by the north. Giving people an ultimatum to leave your country when it is still one Nigeria is very inmical to National development and certainly very half thought out. If the igbo traders leave, where will they get the sufficient remaining manpower. At the same time, I understand partially what provoked them to this. To put it bluntly, Kanu described them as basically subhuman and used other colorful names. So yeah, the blame goes both ways. Anyhow, I trust Afenifere and other Yoruba leaders will soon call for peace and cool down the ethnic wahala. Here in Osun, there are quite a number of Ibo traders and businessmen too. It's here on NL everyone becomes tribal champions. Peace. 3 Likes |

Socratez20:You have to understand that to the average Yoruba Man, The south south and the south east are regarded as very closely intertwined. You also have to realize that the previous administration before this one was Igbo dominated. Hence when Ibos claim they are marginalized, the previous administration comes to mind and such claims are dismissed as whining. This is honestly the thoughts of the average Yoruba Man 4 Likes |

deedeedee1:South Sudan is mono ethnic, yet where are they now?? Namibia, Swaizland are monoethnic, yet they are battling huge issues. See, ethnic issues can still come up within Yoruba Land, however impossible that may sound. Remember ife and Modakeke (this is not the thread to discuss that though). Let's not act like our tribe is perfect o, we still have our issues. The Europeans you mentioned have already seen the need to come together, thats why they formed the EU. Read up on that union's power and you'll be surprised at how much freedom and intercooperation it fosters. See, that's why regionalism and restructuring is key to this country. A weak centre with each region controlling it's own resources. That's the vision Awolowo had for this country. Why did you think he ensured education was free here in the southwest?? |

SirWere:South sudan is not monoethnic. Ethnic groups like neur, dinka, shilluk and about 70 more exist in the country. You talked of EU. Dont we have ecowas also? You said awolowo aim was to restructure the country, who in this world will go back to something that failed. Why should we go back to regional government when infact it lead us to the civil war. If we go back to regional government, there will be envy among the regions. This happened in the 1960s, or do you think the hate started today? Yoruba, igbos, and hausa do not like themselves. If we are not careful, we will have another war which will definitely lead to the country disintegration. We must all accept the fact that nigeria cannot prosper and that the country will be better divided, but before that, what matters now and most is how it will split peacefully without war or any lose of life. The handwriting is clear on the wall. Only a foolish Yoruba will plead with the Igbos not to form their Biafra. Enough of all these reverse psychology being played by the Igbos. Yorubas fully support Igbos leaving south west and other parts of Nigeria to form their country. This parasitic relationship where the parasites feeding on the host are insulting the host for not sending them away is enough. Igbos must have their biafra by fire or by force. Yorubas gain absolute nothing from the Igbos, all we get from them are headache and insults. As a matter of fact, Yorubas hardly go to Igboland because we don't need them at all for anything. We don't buy their Aba shoes, we don't eat their Onitsha ugwu, we don't eat their Abakaliki rice and we don't eat their Enugu Abacha. They are of zero significance to Yoruba existence which is the reason why There are more Yorubas in Uk than Igboland There are more Yorubas in US than in Igboland There are more Yorubas in Canada than in Igboland There are more Yorubas in Australia than in Igboland There are more Yorubas in Germany than in Igboland There are more Yorubas in South Africa than in Igboland There are more Yorubas in Ghana than in Igboland There are even more Yorubas in the north than in Igboland Igbo must leave Lagos and other Southwest cities and go to their Biafra. There is no going back, Biafra must come 7 Likes 1 Share |

Am a yoruba guy and I must confess that some comments i read here are disappointing instead of some people to condemn the proposed violence against ibos some mumu on nairaland are trying to justify it.i know for sure that abokis are the most foolish tribe I strongly advise ndigbo to start packing asap cos I know abokiiis very well they will n't hesitate to start killing igbos .if care is not taken i see a recurrence of the 1967 pogroms |

if this news is real then i think its really good , the rate at which the igbos disrespect the hausas have gotten to a new level since pmb won, any topic from the north u will find the igbos pouring out insults on the hausas , forgetting how they never seize to flex the north itself, the northerner are not fools ..they see all this on social media(which is a very powerful tool) , an igbo man will pour insults on a hausa man and still makes his next trip up north... i seriously do not understand the beef... they are like that here in lagos too...insult the yorubas, call the yoruba land (no man's land) , reason why the oba of lagos swore back then... 1 Like |

lekbel09: Nobody is supporting Hausa proposed violence. All we are saying is the Igbos now have catalyst to move en masse to Igboland. They have been insulting every other tribes that they are begging them not to secede. Now nobody is begging anymore, instead we are telling them to leave other cities in Nigeria and move to their eroded barren land. There is no going back, Igbos must have their Biafra 4 Likes |
