lakola: You applied April 25 and you haven't heard nothing from dibp? Mehn nawa o! I applied 12th May as well and haven't heard nothing but waiting for dibp to hit me direct grant . Did you use an agent for ur visa? |
Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by santity100: 12:20pm On Jun 07, 2017 |
JoeDuch: AL1 schools have been reviewed in March but they are not publishing it due to effect on the schools and application patterns. RMIT was lenient requesting for less than 9k aud for deposit even when tuition fee deposit should have been above 16k aud for the semester. Students took advantage of it during the February intake and most got visas and transferred to other schools while some didn't even resume. That's bad and most students that apply to RMIT now should be ready because DIBP will probably request soa before approvals because of that risk 2 Likes |

Fishlink: Bro that's what I'm expecting o Direct grant. I think there is a form of inconsistency with the DIBP in Pretoria. Cos with what @Jegz had said. His app is above 50 days |
Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Fishlink(m): 12:26pm On Jun 07, 2017 |
lakola: Yes that's right bro! Counting the days sef, are we counting Saturday and Sunday together with it? I'm sick of this thing oo! Besides, nearly everyone e here are going to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane... never heard anyone going to Perth.. July resumption fast approaching my guy |
Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by lakola: 12:27pm On Jun 07, 2017 |
santity100: Yes sir, concerning the AL1 review as at march, are you talking about DIBP or RMIT |
Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by lakola: 12:31pm On Jun 07, 2017 |
Fishlink: I should think saturdays and Sunday's should be counted. Cos if otherwise it would have been started explicitly on the website. lol bro I'm going to a regional area Wagga Wagga. Haven't heard of anyone going there whether this year or last year. Irony of the whole thing is my orientation starts on the 4th of July 1 Like |
Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Fishlink(m): 12:31pm On Jun 07, 2017 |
lakola: I think DIBP reviewed there documentation for AL1 schools cos Naija sabi spoil things that are to favor innocent ones. @santity100, you are absolutely right and now those February intake got favored with quick and easy visa grant and now making things hard for July intake. Sometimes mehn, I always hate been a Nigerian 1 Like |

Fishlink:Lool you've an opportunity to be a part of another community. Pray your visa is granted, it's kinda crazy what We Nigerians do out there. Also why is a country like Australia grading schools into AL1 and AL2. Cos if you look at it critically Al2 gets to pay tuition for at least a semester and get to show bank statement to show they can cope over there while AL1 do not, if you look critically the so called AL1 advantage is what is causing the issues/challenges cos the priveldge given to them is been taken for granted. Probably they eradicate the term AL1 Al2 Al3 and judge applicants based on genuineness. It's a developed country uno. Grading schools into group is kinda poor 4 Likes |

lakola: Oh yes! I get pissed with the AL of a thing too. Genuineness should be the priority! Many genuine students are been refused and fake ones are been granted visa thereby causing problems and giving bad name to Nigerian. I just tire oo! DIBP wake up from slumber 2 Likes |

Fishlink: DIBP will not deny your entry if your application is genuine mate |
Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Dontee5star(m): 2:46pm On Jun 07, 2017 |
JewelStone: Haha you wrong , the value of uni degree is same in Aussie ; pedigree of school Doesn't guarantee you job , so many people even prefer studying nursing in TAFE and they'll still get good job .. No matter where you are in Australia , you should find part time jobs so far you aren't in country places , and most people dont even like Sydney , I have been there and I no like am |

tobe4real: Which of the point please ? Why do people live in Columbus and not New York , Ibadan and not Lagos , Glasgow and not London Simple. Because different people are searching for different opportunities and environments 3 Likes 2 Shares |

Dontee5star:its obvious one always stands a better chance with jobs in bigger cities like sydney....there must be a significant reason why u don't like sydney, could be it's too expensive or u just rather stay in a sparsely populated area to bag bonus points. |

lakola: Hey! Whats the update on ur application, which university did u apply to? Did u us and agent? |
Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by lakola: 3:53pm On Jun 07, 2017 |
weldonextreme: Charles Sturt University bro. I didn't use an agent. Hoping for a miracle this week NB: No CO contact; just under assesment. I strongly believe each applicants app is peculiar and as such might have different processing time(be it long or short) 2 Likes |

Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by lakola: 4:01pm On Jun 07, 2017 |
Fishlink:Amen bro!!! We all will get it. I won't really know about the significance of an agent on any application. I believe in giving them what they want and no matter how frustrating the wait might be; a positive assessment will be the reward 4 Likes |

Fishlink: Sorry bro, I don't agree with ur terms "fake" "genuine"..what makes u more genuine than other applicants? Cos u have more money in the bank? M sure if u given a chance u'd prefer Canada yet u waiting for an oz grant! There are applicants whose sponsors are quite capable of sponsoring them but can't just afford to leave 15m lying in the account for 3months That been said... M positive grants would start rolling in tomorrow in Jesus name!! that shud be our concern 3 Likes |
Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by foreverkind1(m): 5:36pm On Jun 07, 2017 |
jackson2dye4:I think the reason people really opt for canada is that, it's closer to home bro and it's way cheaper, their are schools of 8,000ca$ per year, for aussie people pay 17,000$ for a semester. Make we talk true, Na person weh get money dey go Australia 3 Likes |
Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Fishlink(m): 5:46pm On Jun 07, 2017 |
jackson2dye4: I'm not Canada freak bro! Going to countries is based on individual interest. I don't have money in bank sleeping and as u have said, grants rolling is the koko |
Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by jackson2dye4: 5:55pm On Jun 07, 2017 |
foreverkind1: My point exactly... With what u mentioned, who wouldn't prefer Canada? But you and I chose Aussie , why? One simple answer... We stand a better chance to x naija!! Not because any1 is fake or genuine M just trying to say we shud take it easy on ourselves as Nigerians. I just think ur suggestion of AL being cancelled is selfish cos u fit into any of the assessment levels |
Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by lakola: 7:08pm On Jun 07, 2017 |
