but is he better than Marcus Rashford? a breakout season is fine but what if that isn't sustained? they are both inexperienced and consistency will always rear up it's ugly head. his back-to-goal skills are still poor and still very weak in the air just like Marcus Rashford.

on the other hand though he's good on the ball, above average technique in the box, super fast and multi-functional.

I really don't see an improvement on Marcus although i see him as potentially a terror; except "the more the merrier". a deadly attacking triumvirate can be polished with Anthony, Marcus and Kyliaan, subject to experience of course.

Hmmn. Huge talent can park well.
No need to overpay for another youngster who might or might not shine at United. We ve enough of those already.
What we need are established players who ll slot seamlessly into the team....even if we ve to overpay for them. At least that way, we know what we re buying.

Diademk07 I don't think Mourinho can work with those kids. He will finish them in the press and probably destroy their confidence to take the blame away from himself.

I'm hoping Mourinho would try to be a little accommodating now that he's a Manutd coach and if he's planning a long term project with us, only the kids can actually take him that far because they are quite loyal and will keep improving over the years unlike the mercenaries out there..

He could try working with these kids (Harrop, Buffonge, Gomez, Poole, Tuazenbe etc) in the summer friendly matches against some good opposition teams and see how they look against these opposition for a start.

And I don't see why we can't fish out some talents from this young Ajax team considering they got to the final just like we did. I actually love the look of their Goalkeeper (Onana), De Ligt and Donny van de Beek. Those were the 3 players that impressed me in their match against us but since we need no Gk nor a young defender (although De ligt seems to be tempting seeing that he's left footed, has got good heading and passing skills), but what we quite need is a CM and the Beek lad seems to tick all the boxes for me.

I've even been trying to get more info about this Beek lad and I realised that there's was a time I learnt how Ajax team looked so dominant against Schalke team some months ago and how they could have scored plenty of goals in the match but sadly I found them looking dysfunctional in the second leg.

Now that I checked his stat, Beek actually started the 1st leg match where Ajax totally ran the show and dominated a certain Goretzka who had a field day against Bayern's midfield the other day and was quite impressive last season. But in the second leg, Beek only had a cameo in the match, no wonder they couldn't control the match like they did in the 1st leg. I've heard that the likes of Barca and Bayern even scouted him in the said 1st leg performance.

From what I've learnt so far, Beek was an understudy to Schone who couldn't play in the 1st leg due to his suspension and that was how Beek got to play in the 1st leg against Schalke but as time went on and after more matches played by Beek, the Ajax fans eventually realised that Beek seem to be quite better than Schone and even though the coach realised this also, he had to stick with his old goons but at least had Beek often coming in as a sub for Schone in most of the matches. That's more reason we should quickly snap him up before he become an household name that could be far from our reach.

Personally, I don't see why he wouldn't look good in the league if he could look good against against our midfield.

Point taken! So if you had a choice over all the strikers we have been linked with who would you prefer apart from morata? And why?

He ran the show against Goretzka for instance. The same Goretzka is a big talent in the Bundesliga and successfully dominated Bayern's midfield few months ago.

Moreover, Ajax fans loves the lad and expect him to fully take over from Schone next season because he's been impressive in many matches. And don't forget he's being scouted by the likes of Bayern and Barca already.
