I did my NYSC in a community in Annang where Enyeama is from. Enyeama is from Etim-Ekpo while I served at Ukanafun that shares boundary with Etim -Ekpo. They are very close relatives of the Igbos. There are even some Igbo speaking parts of Akwa-Ibom carved out of the then IMO state to join Akwa-Ibom. I have visited the place and interacted with them. They bare Igbo names and speak the Igbo language although with Annang the accent

That's one of the links. Supersport apparently only posts news that concerns SA players for this match, easy to tell what side they are on. They make themaelves sp obvious sometimes, it's disgusting.

Apparently, even their reporting of the U20 WC leaned more towards SA than any other participating African team. They only posted something on Zambia when they were knocked out by Italy
probably because South Africa is where they're (Supersport) based so they feel they owe allegiance to them first than other African nation

Point of correction. Kayode has been prolific for 3 seasons in a row if you include his 13 goals in the Israeli league before he scored double digits goals in the past 2 seasons in the Austria league. grin

one will easily guess right on which path you'll belong in a debate like this especially when players like kayode are being discussed.

Great observations. I wish Rohr can stamp out that snail like build up we are so accustomed to in the early phases and complacency after we have scored. I wish he can inject two things in place of those accustomed qualities: intensity and ruthlessness.
but that wasn't the case against Zambia and Algeria... we scored early goals

Not early goals. We scored in the first half. Still we were complacent. Sometimes we use that slowness to wear out and frustrate our opponent but it's becoming too ingrained, slowness for slowness sake.

to be honest ever since rohr took over as SE coach these slow start tempo has been improved upon
unlike before rarely do SE score as much as 3 goals all in the first half..

I am more worried of the team's complacency in the second half

I wouldn't exactly say it has been improved upon because out Rohr's 6 games in charge, we have had slow starts in 3 out of 6( Tanzania, Corsica, Senegal), while we started well in the other 3 (Algeria, Zambia and Togo*).
It's been 50/50.
I will say let's wait and see the Super Eagles that will turn up on Saturday.

I tell you. The amusing thing is, they aren't even aware of their ignorance.

Exclusive: Ogu Battling Etebo For Midfield Spot; Rohr Goes For Chelsea's Omeruo

Based on the Super Eagles last two training sessions, allnigeriasoccer.com's expert on ground in Uyo can report that Hapoel Beer Sheva's John Ogu is battling CD Feirense's Oghenekaro Etebo for the last spot in midfield, ahead of the African Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa.

Ogu played as a central defender in the last two training sessions but he was switching roles and popped up in midfield.

While performing defensive duties, the 29-year-old was a ball-playing centre-back in the mould of Bayern Munich's Jerome Boateng and Manchester City's John Stones.

Leicester City's Wilfred Ndidi and captain Eddy Onazi are untouchable, and it is believed that Etebo has the edge over Ogu in the fight for the remaining midfield spot because he has better attacking qualities, but the Israeli-based star can act as back-up to any of the these players.

Manager Gernot Rohr appears to have settled for a central defense pairing of William Troost-Ekong and Kenneth Omeruo as the German played his strongest offensive players Iheanacho, Iwobi and Moses against the duo during the training game on Wednesday.

To be truthful oo I'm predicting a 5-1 scoreline in favour of Naija in this game. Anyhow it will happen I do not care but we must cancel the south in their name let them take the Africa back to Zuma

Former coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Sunday Oliseh has been labelled arrogant and proud by respected Dutch publication Limburger.nl.
Patrick Delait reports Oliseh’s behaviour has already claimed some back room staff at the club, with captain Ferry de Regt also said to be on his way out after a bust up with the former Ajax, Juventus and Borussia Dortmund player.
According to Delait assistant coach of the team Tini Ruijs left the club three months after Oliseh’s appointment citing personal reasons, but some club sources confirmed Oliseh insulted his then assistant in front of the players which lead to his resignation.
Team doctor Marco Lemmens and goalkeeping coach Patrick Creemers have also had clashes with Oliseh over his autocratic style when it comes to handling issues as it concerns the team.
Simply put Olishe’s pride, arrogance and authoritarian behaviour has created a seed of discord in the team, which if not checked could destroy the team in the long run, despite how well Oliseh has performed since taking over as coach of the team.
Known for his quick temper during his playing days, it appears the issue is still very much in his ways after his playing days judging by the way his managerial career has gone since he went into coaching.
He stayed only one season at Verviers after a disagreement with the men at the helm, also his stint as coach of Nigeria only lasted eight months with the highlight being his fall out with captain of the team Vincent Enyeama and later NFF president Amaju Pinnick.
