ogobaby23:. You invest as low as 5000 through a stockbroker and your interest is paid quarterly. although the interest stated is yearly figure. your interest will be prorated for the first 3month. E.g. you invest N100,000 and the interest rate is 13.189%. it means in a year, your total interest will be N13,189. so for the first quarter, federal govt will pay you.N13,189/4 is N3297.25. Thats how it works but you can only access them through a licensed stockbroker. Contact us Cowry asset Management Limited. |

megawax8: WOW!. I greatly appreciate this Megawax. Just checked the modification. One can apply for treasury bills through a bank, right? If it's as high as 18.7%...that's great! Would definitely invest soon. Must one buy January or you can buy at any time in the year? |

GeneralOjukwu: You can buy at any time from the secondary market offerings from any of the banks. The banks with the best rates so far are IBTC, 1st Bank and then GTB hovers around 18.1% per annum. For primary market it is done bi-weekly, no need to wait unless you have 50M and above to directly invest in primary auction. Otherwise walk into any of the banks and ask for secondary auction for FG/CBN treasury bills. Note: The higher the tenure the better the returns, plus you can liquidate at any time too. 1 Like |

Treasury bills is higher in yields but for now the FG has stopped people with less than 50 Million Naira from purchasing it. That is why the FGN Savings Bond was incorporated. GeneralOjukwu: |

BoboKush: So 14% to 18.5% for FGN Savings bond to CBN NTB at near zero risks is nothing to you? These rates are reflective of the current inflationary rates and its really not good for the economy and most importantly the citizenry, to have doube digit inflation rates. This one no be MMM o... Let me come and be going...
