Hold Nnamdi Kanu Responsible Should Anything Happen To Igbos – South East Group by Obascoetubi: 10:53am On Jun 08, 2017 |
The South East Restoration Group has asked Ndigbo to hold the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu responsible should anything happen to any Igbo man in any part of the country. The group said Kanu had been using his Biafra agitation to defraud and deceive innocent Igbos to rebel against the Nigerian government, whilst the elders kept mute until things got out of hand. Recall that a coalition of Northern Youth Groups tagged “The Kaduna Declaration” had given all Igbos residing in any part of Northern Nigeria three months to relocate to their places of origin. The order was widely condemned by many Nigerians, including the president, governors and prominent leaders. Charles Mbani, National Co- ordinator of the Igbo socio- political organization, said Kanu and his collaborators were “hell bent on destroying the hard-earned resources of Igbos in Nigeria through their actions, with grave danger for the peaceful co-existence of Nigeria as the only country that we can all call our own.” He said the order might not be unconnected with the clamour for the rebirth of Biafra by Kanu and his team. Mbani said in a statement forwarded to DAILY POST, “let us make it abundantly it clear that the self-centred, selfish and criminally minded Biafra agitation that was conceived by Kanu, his political sponsors and gang of criminals who are always high on cheap substance alone is the greatest threats to the Igbos not only in the north but everywhere in the country including the south-east where Nnamdi’s IPOB and its collaborators known as MASSOB have continued to use threats and intimidation to destroy the economic life of the Igbo people.” The group further called on the security agencies to be at alert and not hesitate to do the needful should any individual or group of persons decide to take up arms against the other ethnic group anywhere in the country. The statement also expressed total confidence in the country’s security architecture and reiterated that “Nigeria has a ready and professional military that is able to combat any insurrection anytime foolish men give in to the devil’s antics to torment their neighbours.” http://www.dailycorrespondents.com.ng/2017/06/hold-nnamdi-kanu-responsible-should-anything-happen-to-igbos-south-east-group/ |

The group said Kanu had been Hopefully, the matured response of the Northern governors and political leaders to the misguided ultimatum issued by the Arewa youths will propel political leaders and elders from the south east to call Kanu and his gang of criminal Igbos to order. Responsible elders are not supposed to keep mute when the youths are heading on a dangerous journey. 15 Likes 3 Shares |

They don't believe in one Nigeria, they called it a zoo, they said it is either Biafra or death, they called the north a herd of cattle, they said they can't continue to be a part of this forced marriage. So in order to make it easy for them to actualize their dream, let them move out of the zoo. What's so difficult 11 Likes |

The SE leaders are as useless as Dilector Cownu! Where were they when the idiot was formenting trouble upandan? Instead of cautioning him and his co-travelers, many of them tacitly urged him on. Some even went as far as greeting him when he was granted bail. If this is not an indication to urge him on, what is? A stupid man that called Hausas and Yorubas unprintable names and asked his fellow deranged followers and supporters to kill non-igbos is being praised by people who claim to be sane? Honestly, I want us to go our separate ways. Is there anyone really enjoying the forced marriage apart from the thieving politicians? No average man, be he ibo, hausa or Yoruba enjoys anything from Nigeria. So, it's right to say we all prefer to go our separate ways. But wanting to use violence or provoking/insulting others to achieve that is a no no. Supporting Kanu in his hate and violent ways is a sign of madness if you don't know, because if the violence/war breaks out, no one knows how it will end. Go to Youtube and watch clips of wars of Syria, Libya, Liberia and Iraq. Perhaps you'll have some sense after that. 11 Likes 1 Share |

The Igbos need to learn how to respect others, particularly their hosts. Remembered the time I was serving in Sokoto, there was this barber Chidi whom we corp members often charge and barb at his saloon, He and his brothers were born and bred in Sokoto, he has never been to his home state, Abia, even his uncle died in Sokoto (while I was there) I asked him why he did not want to settle in the east, he said "cost of living high there and opportunities no plenty like Sokoto" Yet every evening we charged our devices at his place, he, his brothers and the other Igbo corp members often tagged the Hausas as ANIMALS, Even in the lodge, they (IGBO corp members) often make mockery of the Hausa corp members and tagged we the Yorubas as Cowards, In the lodge, Igbos were always reluctant to pay utility bills and some maintenance fees yet we collected the same N19,800 and 4k state allowance, I don't just just know why they derive pleasure in insulting others who host them My service year revealed the personality and thinking of an AVERAGE IGBO MAN to me. I just want them to leave this country and have their Biafra. We Yorubas will be waching in HD as they engage in boundary disputes with the SS & North. 9 Likes 1 Share |

SE people are funny, they are hardworking and have a seal for success but too emotional and arrogant. They hardly think deep of consequence of their actions but rather blame everyone but themselves for their woes. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

You hold a man responsible for his actions. While some of Kanu's words do not sit well with me, they can only elicit carnage from an inherently violent fellow. There are war of words everywhere. But the first to pull the trigger must be blamed. Until IPOB begins killing people, I don't see why Kanu should be held responsible for the actions of some murderous group other than his. |

Bolustical: Okay. I think it's something to do with Jona's loss. The bitterness developed more rapidly in the build up to and after the elections. People of other tribes complained a lot about them being like that during my service year as well. I served in Anambra and experienced it firsthand. Thankfully, they treated me kindly. But the vile words I saw them spew could split a spine. I hope they watch it. 4 Likes 2 Shares |
