You can also apply to the bank to add you and make it a joint account with your spouse if he/she doesn't mind. chigrad: |

Thank you for your prompt response but unfortunately the strike affects both non-academic and academic staff. perks: |

Many thanks for the link. I have had someone check for me but Exams and Records unit is also affected by the strike action. I think unfortunately I am stuck and will have to wait till the strike is called off and only God knows when that will be. eboziem: |

The home address you go to during school break is the address you fill in there....although yesterday's CIC update removed address history from my forms, everything now under personal history and space for full address wasn't there like before, so you might not even need those addresses again, just city and town. I haven't checked today though...na soso update toyogirl: |

So sorry about this, really an unfortunate situation. More reason we have to leave this country for them so our kids don't go through the same frustration. MrOba: 3 Likes |

MrOba:I think you should still try the online application, I know someone that used it very recently and got his transcript delivered to Lagos about a week after applying. I only don't know of it was during the strike. BTW, lautech hasn't been on strike for a year, they resumed briefly before the current one which according to the info I have, it's only ASUU, doesn't include nasu and ssanu which are the ppl processing transcript. I just think you should make a move first before jumping into conclusion. 40manlappy can also advise better. |

cheapphones: I will pick WES over IQAS. WES seems to be world coverage. If you are not press for time go for WES. You never know... opportunity may arise in the US or other countries and with a snap of a finger, you have your WES to present rather than going through contacting schools again. Nigerian schools are sometimes the demons and dragons to be slayed. God help you if they go on strike.... 2 Likes 1 Share |

Hey dude, don't give up so easily! Guess what? I did my MBA in LAUTECH way back '09. ...I actually got my WES evaluation done during the strike...started the process in December (got my original cert & transcripts prepared and sent) and got my evaluation early March. ...on this Canadian dream, TENACITY is key....get someone over there to push for you...staying here won't work...push buttons! Give it all it takes...pray for favour; nothing is impossible...Peace! MrOba: |

Actually 25 weeks or more. I fell into their trap and wouldn't advise anyone to go the ICAS way at all. I eventually had to go with WES. Dammiehar: |

toyogirl:Hi please how strict is Wes on quoting the reference number on the envelope, cos I'm really not sure of the possibility of quoting the reference number if I'm applying online for the transcript. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by perks: 5:53pm On Jun 09, 2017 |
juliebabs: U can't pay with a naira card. Either use a dollar card or get someone in Canada to pay for u then send d money to d person through western union or moneygram. |

To avoid unnecessary delays, it's best to quote the ref no just as WES requested....that's like a major ID for your ECA application. Download the transcript request form from WES, full in the details with your ref no and scan it across to whoever is assisting with the process in your school. cheapphones: |

toyogirl:Thanks, I was referring to using lautech online application tho since I know someone that used that route recently and it worked fine. Only he didn't need any reference number in his case. But I'll find a way around it |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by Abby2017: 6:04pm On Jun 09, 2017 |
Exactly why I chose to use WES o. Funny enough, I didn't even experience most of the problems people keep complaining of on here. Maybe I was just lucky then... I had already make up my mind that the problem is going to be with Nigerian institutions, they are the ones that caused my ECA delay. WES completed my ECA in 20business days after receiving "ALL" documents and that includes the verification process. I think people just need to calm down and ensure things are fixed from their end before giving themselves undue pressure over WES timeline. You can't be counting days when your school has not even responded to a mail. #Myopinion Ballerz: 3 Likes |

Hello Triv, my case is same as yours. AOR: February 21, Medical passed and background stuck on NA since April 28. I think the problem we have is the security check. The wait is really internally killing. Please, how do you intend to request for GCMS notes? Triv: |

Good evening house, I have been following this thread but the rate at which the pages increases eh, e pass my power. I just recently joined the express entry pool and I got a message this evening that Ontario province would like to consider me under their PNP. 'If you want Ontario to consider you for nomination under its PNP you must contact Ontario directly after receiving this letter. Note that this letter of interest is not a guarantee that you will be nominated by Ontario. You will first have to satisfy Ontario that you meet the requirements of their program.' please who has received this kind of message and how do I contact the province. I appreciate your kind response. thanks |

It means they are considering you for provincial nomination and you will have to apply for it with your documents and $1500 CDN, It will also extend your overall PR application time. If your CRS is more than 410, I will advice you to forget it, cos you have a very high probability of getting ITA soon. My opinion Thebaes: 1 Like |

Solution 1: Spouse can transfer the money to your account and write an LOE to explain the money was transferred to support your POF (I don't believe in gift of deed between couples, especially when both are applying together. You can also present spouse's statement of account to show the transfer. Solution 2: Money stays in spouse's account, present the statement of account and write an LOE to explain that money is available for your family's use in Canada. ebho: 4 Likes |

Thank u dear. my CRS is 409. What do you advise? 1500$ is quite a lot though. is there any other way to get provincial nomination? thanks again Dammiehar: |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by Dammiehar(f): 6:38pm On Jun 09, 2017 |
After getting the NOI as you have just gotten, I think you have 6 months to apply, so you can just hold on and see if the EE cut-off goes down in the coming days. Whichever province offers you nomination, you still have to pay for the application.
