This will be truly a step in the right direction.
first we assemble, learn what is required to build an airplane of our own then Nigeria will be free of all this nansense from AI

from technical point of view only

engine, propeller, avionics etc will still have to to outsourced from western OEMs etc

so no escaping the nonsense from AI yet grin

the wings will need strengthening and redesign to sport pylons and weapons load

another option convert it into a gunship , expand door on either side to mount high caliber minigun/gatling gun and a EO pod underneath the fuselage . much easier , bare minimum changes structurally.

can then use the platform for transport as well as offensive/recon duties by just adding/removing the guns.

Irrespective of how anybody feels about it, the Nigerian Air Force needs the Tucano, it's a statistical fact.

That's a light transport aircraft, i don't think it would do any good armed.

MEDEVAC, light transportation, probably surveillance. That's were it should be useful.

It is not that simple. You need to know the slow and low flying characteristics first.

Is it for the Air force or the civilian market, because if it is for the Air Force so why are we building a plane of the same class with yankes ?

obviously that is expected without even mentioning it wink

any modification will require extensive computational fluid dynamics and wind tunnel studies, aerodynamic data validation, handling qualities evaluation, fuselage shape/wing design optimization post modification , aerodynamic loads estimation in entire flight envelope post modification, optimization and performance evaluation of handling qualities post modification , configuration refinements (with or without external loads), external stores release studies etc and then planning of test points, aerodynamic data validation and update through system identification techniques, evaluation of aircraft performance and update of performance model leading to expected/designed for optimal aircraft operating performance post modification.
