FrontPageLawyer: Read before you comment. I posted a link twice that was a direct quote on this very topic from abujaniv, a VO who is a regular poster here. Perhaps you should direct your comment to him. The point is simple - sending a letter of intent is not standard procedure. It may have worked for you but don't imply that others follow the same pattern so they don't end up wasting their time. 3 Likes |

A million likes biko!! Imagine! Me sef follow write. And I didn't meet any issue afterwards cos I got my visa long before preggers. I also wrote dem before my sis came and it was all smooth sailing. If need be,make we write d letter o! Leave it to d VOs and CBP officers to use or not. EOD FrontPageLawyer: 8 Likes |

FrontPageLawyer: He is not misleading anybody. VO has said it over and over again that letter of intent means nothing. Sometimes here people just jump on people they don't like without reading properly. Were your wife pregnant during the interview and lied about it then send letter of intent after getting the visa? 6 Likes |

TripleKMama: This case is not the same as somebody who lied during visa interview then send letter of intent as a short cut. 4 Likes |

people have shared their recent experiences with the CPB at POE and you are here writing rude English in the name of " standard procedure " why mislead/ discourage people? You are already a citizen and definately have less none immigrant visa experience (especially recent) than none immigrant visa applicants. Just read a few pages back, you will see how that change of intent letter and reply have saved so many. The question is why discourage someone from getting it (rudely sef) , its just a letter, its not an extra load, if not asked at POE fine, afterall its not heavy to carry. Honestly your hibernation was a relief TWoods: 5 Likes |

So the change if intent letter is still needful in some cases right? Not for someone to come here to completely rule it out justwise: |

Well, its upto CBPO to count backwards & determine if dey carry belle before interview. My own letter carry my LMP sef. And if dey count back times 2 sef, I could not have been pregnant at d time of application (dropbox). Summary- make dem write d letter. Its upto CBP to grant entry or not. justwise: 4 Likes |

Greetings everyone. Great minds are here indeed. Please I have few questions and guide. We have been corresponding with a family care maternity center in Dallas for delivery in October, and they issued us acceptance letter today, please do we still need any other letter from anyone? And also is it advisable both us book an appointment with the embassy same time or my wife should go first? Please I look forward to you guys. |

justwise: You are very correct. 2014, my wife and I went for a visa interview and was asked if she was pregnant, we said no, but she was actually pregnant. We were not properly informed and thought the easiest way was to lie about it. We wrote the normal ''letter of change of intent'' and got a reply that it was OK for us to travel. When u got to the POE, the CBP officer didn't say anything about the letter and we were stamped in for 6 months... Fast forward to 2016, we did a dropbox for visa renewal but was invited for an interview. The first question we were asked was, '' did you (my wife) give birth in the US?'' We said yes, and went further to expalain we paid all our bills and have zero balance,...bal bla bla.. he just said we were not eligible for a visa because we lied about our intent of travelling. We told him that we wrote to the embassy before travelling, he said '' those letters mean nothing to us''.... So please, do yourself some good and don't lie about your travel intentions.. It will somehow, someday bite you when you least expect. 15 Likes |

Hi everyone, you don't need to pay anyone money to get visa on arrival. Kindly go to the immigration website, apply and pay online. When you arrive Nigeria, show your receipt and the visa will be given to your LO. Or you can apply and pay in cash or with your card when you arrive. There is just a slight $10 difference when paying in cash. 10 Likes 1 Share |

bigtalla: I have read many stories like that here and many people here arguing against it are doing so because the issue was brought by TWoods (their common enemy), not because they truly believed that letter of change of intent worth anything when you lied during visa interview 4 Likes |

maideyz: Pardon late reply. LO's fine, thanks. No extra payment needed. Just keep checking this site : www.epcounty.com/publicrecords by inputting ur baby's name ; if the certificate isn't ready, result will be 'no records found' . as soon as it's ready U will see '1 record found.' You can then go immediately to records office with hubby or notarised form & ID to collect it. Takes about a week. (I used to impatiently check site 2x/3x daily !) |

So please help me understand wht you meant by waste of time. That i dont need it? I already have my own visa, just going to apply for toddler son since i didnt travel with him initially. |

I wonder why it is called "letter of intent" then..the vo saying the letter doesnt mean a thing is a good way of disuading dishonest people..but fr those who honestly need the letter can go ahead and send it justwise: 2 Likes |
