Hello,I am a programmer ,I am working on an app that would change a sector in Nigeria and even the world.

I dont want to go to investors because of the huge percentages they ask for .
I want to get investment from close friends .
Now here is the question :
I am a bit new to how the whole investing thing works .
I am thinking of giving them a percentage of the company .
But how does it really work ,would i be paying them salary ,or giving them that percent of profit every month.
Most of them wont be active in the company, some might be .
Pls educate me.

Steve Jobs spent alot of money on investors and eventually lost his rights in the beginning.

Be careful of those you bring on board

Thank you sir for your words.
But i need money to push this thing fast ,you no how ideas are before you know it someone else has done it (It has happened to me a lot ,because of lack of funding).
Being a programmer makes it easy ,it reduces money i need to get it rolling .
But there are some things i still need money for like domains ,hosting, digital marketing etc.
