Hello everyone...i need some advice about getting my late dad's house papers from my uncle...his elder brother

i actually flew into Nigeria upon hearing the sudden death of my dear Dad,and as first son and as tradition demands,i successfully completed his burial ceremonies and all...

now fast forward to right now,my late dad 's family started behaving funny and acting all strange the past few months..i never expected them to behave the way they are now

Cut long story short,i had decided earlier on to leave my late father's newly built home in the village for myself,my mum,my younger brother and probably any other family member who wants to be there for a while...but this my dad's elder brother wants to put it out on rent and i said NO...because my late dad even refused it when he was alive when my uncle suggested rent to him...

now amidst all d yawa and issues...im fed up...i want help on how to go about getting the house papers from this my uncle...

should i get it forcefully from him...or should i get a lawyer(what are the procedures)

Because be like na to sell the place make everybody go rest...

between i am nearly completing my own home and that my dad's house would virtually be of no use to me or my immediate family

Ask him for the papaers. Call elders to settle the matter, vall thugs to beat ot out of him or go the court way.

Did I hear you say house in the village?! I will advise you tread very carefully please. Avoid confrontation and land tussles. You've got your whole life ahead of you. You are still young.

my advice - seek his understanding. if he's still beingunreasonable, please move on.

People can go to the extreme because of this, Your dad made the mistake of giving his docs to your uncle , what happened to your mum or You or better still a lawyer for safekeeping.

Leave the thing for him before they begin to consult oracle on top your matter.Its done its done , some people can kill because of property.

Your uncle is obviously aware that your Dad didn't want to rent the house when he was alive and even in death. But​ now that the man is no more, your uncle doesn't care about honouring the agreement with your Dad, which is really unfortunate. If only your Dad had left the papers with his wife (your mom) instead to keep. I would suggest getting a good Lawyer to get the papers from him. Your uncle is not above the law, so there's no reason why he should get away with this.

The greedy uncle is clearly after money and most definitely wouldn't accept the family getting 70% while he gets 30. I'm sure he would rather kill than accept that.

Its not Nija beliefs , families kill because of property .
It has happened infront of my very own eyes .
Its best to use the services of a lawyer and at the same time , empower yourself spiritually for any pending spiritual attack .

Or sell the house and use the money to buy another house for mum and siblings .
But still protect yourself spiritualy .


Some people ran mad or died due to possession of property by family members

The thing is simple,ask your uncle for the papers,if he refuses,report to the elders in your community.

. Obviously, the man is a desperate man and will go to any length to get what he wants .If you try to be forceful bro,you won't see the documents. Act like a fool and do what he wants for now before he totally claims the house .He has the papers and is in control of that house for now .

What are you doing abroad? you said you were also building your own house, it means you've attained some level of success. your papa sweat be say you his son are doing well. If such yncle refuses to willingly return such documents, forget it. Just to be on the safe side. These village people can go lengths even diabolical.

I saw him the day he traveled but I was shocked to hear that he died afterwards

Of course I don't know what really happened but it wasn't an accident and he was healthy before he left
