Atimes , I wonder what would have befall the South if these oil wells where in the North. Just because of protest you ordered someone out of your region, what would you have done if the federal allocation came from your zone? 238 Likes 17 Shares |

STFUand4kMeHARD: Have they not been told that majority of the oil block is owned by expatriates? Abi they want to be like south African ,hunting your fellow nigerians when the real oil blocks owners are whites, non nigerian multi nationals While I have never supported the policy of allocating the oil blocks owned exclusively by the Federal Government to selected individuals and foreign oil companies it is pertinent to point out that the list published by the media last week is totally outdated and grossly misleading. The list contained only the names of those who were allocated oil blocks under the defunct military junta. In other words, the list did not contain the names of the other traders who have been allocated oil blocks by the ruling party since 1999. Equally missing from the list are the names of multinational companies otherwise called “Oil majors” which control and manage the lion share of the oil and gas industry. For instance, I have a suit pending at the Federal High Court against the Ministry of Petroleum Resources over the renewal of the expired 40-year old licences of three oil blocks (which produce 580,000 barrels of crude oil per day) for Mobil Producing last year for the sum of $600 million notwithstanding that a Chinese oil company had offered to pay $5.8 billion for the same oil blocks ! https://www.nairaland.com/1221401/foreigners-own-80-oil-blocks 15 Likes 1 Share |

To be honest, the northerners goofed on this issue as we all know they can't withstand provoking utterance for other tribes. I don't know If this story is true or not but did they (arewa youths) consider the consequences before dishing out threats to Ndigbos. As for IPOB, I remembered few weeks ago when we warned about the consequence of naming a cow "buhari", they said we are defending our master. Tolerance and accommodating attitude is not cowardice which SE peeps need on rare occasion. Not all the time they will be dishing out provoking utterances. 21 Likes 5 Shares |
