Mercy Johnson mother is igbo, ebira don't answer ozioma

Mercy Johnson mother is not Igbo.
Ozioma has meaning in Ebira, it means a girl born with good luck.

Your correct ..but they have apologised..

Doesn't mean they won't repeat it again, if circumstances demands it.

We must learn from our mistakes and not repeat them.
Those people are our neighbors, that's all, nothing more and nothing less!

Don't be deceived. They are but our neighbors, not brothers. We can all become good neighbors in the future though, but it shouldn't exceed that.

All ideas of a multi ethnic Biafra must be buried, lf we(Ndiigbo) must move on as a people.

I live in Kaduna South. Even though we fought the middle belt in the civil war, times have changed and we have not fought them since then; infact we live well as Christians. For you to bring up this historical fact at this time most especially as we need their support is insensitive and dangerous. Stop using the past rigidly as a basis to understand the future.

Some people are funny. Even the Ijaws and Ogonis who are with Ikwerres in Rivers state cannot tell the difference between an Ikwerre man and me from Anambra. All Ikwerre's understand central Igbo. The Ikwerres wear red cap like Igbos, speak a dialect of Igbo, have Igbo names.

How will a Chibike Amaechi convince anyone, let alone a Northerner, that he is not Igbo?

You are the one who refused to learn from history.
Gowon and Danjuma are all Northern minority Christians.
Yet they were the ones who brought death to our door steps in Biafra.

When the chips are down, the Northern minorities would side their Muslim Arewa brothers.

You lots want to set Ndiigbo up for another unprepared eventualities by refusing to understand that the Northern minorities can't be trusted. We can't build any of our future plans around them.

We must understand this, so that we don't start crying about betrayals in the future. I'd rather Ndiigbo deal with the bitter truth now, than accept sweet lies.

Nobody is talking about "trusting" the northern minorities. In Nigeria everybody must be on his or her guard but you cannot be going every where assuming every one is your enemy and deserving of 247 distrust. The fact remains that since 1970 when the war ended we have not had clashes with them again and we have mixed to an appreciable level level so we cannot go around with the mistrust we reserved for the Hausa-Fulani due to the all the post 1970 killings with them. Times change and even though we must be smart and watch our backs we cannot be spreading unrestrained the 1966 rhetoric today as it is a different time entirely.
If you claim that we should continue being totally suspicious and distrustful of the northern Christians because of what happened in 1960's are you not also saying that the South-South should be distrustful of we the Igbo because of how some of them were treated during the war by our people regardless of the fact that we have voted for their son and supported them in every major endeavour since then?

How were they treated by our people? You want to fall for that propaganda too?

Anyway, I'm sure both of us mean well for Ndiigbo. We hold two extreme views, perhaps, Ndiigbo can find a balance between the two.

Yeah. I hope that we invest even more in Igbo land as we have been doing for years now while consolidating our relationship with people who at least respect us. The reaction from different corners of the country in addition to being expressions of anger against the Hausa Fulani methods are also a sign of appreciation on the life pattern of the Ndigbo. We have touched people in very positive ways. It also goes to show the potential of us cobbling together a political block for future political battles. The south-south and middle belt have none of the big 3 looking after their interest; we can fill the void.

This is where I disagree with you. We need not look after anyone interest but ours, ours and ours alone.

If we don't learn this we would continue to fail.

The minorities are more than capable of taking Care of their own business, they would sacrifice our own interest to protect their own interest if need be, they had done that in the past and would do it again if circumstances demands it, the rule of survival in the British colonial estate jungle that Ndiigbo must understand. No one else protects the Igbo interest but Ndiigbo, therefore Ndiigbo must not dissipate useful efforts on hero complex delusions.

We stand for equity and justice, but we protect nobody else interest but ours! This is how we do it.

It is foolish Igbos like you that always get killed first in any ethno-religious clashes because like a typical Igbo goat living in the north, all they see is cheap meat and cheap land. With respect to the bolded, did Ndigbo had any clash with the backstabbers in the middle-belt prior to 1966 before they joined their hausa-fulani masters to kill Igbos living in the north? Did Igbo had any clash with yorubas prior to 1967 before the hate-filled ya.ribas joined their hausa-fulani masters to fight against Biafra (was Awolowo not a so-called christian)?
Did Ndigbo had any clash with the hate-filled tribes like Edo, Uhrobo, Itshekiri, Isoko, and other slavish minorities of the old midwest before they all joined their hausa-fulani masters to fight against Biafra/Igbo? Are you aware that it was the Edo/Binins that pointed out the Aniomas to the nigerian troops which lead to the killings of the aniomas, including the bastards called Ika?

The earlier you Igbo clowns that refuse to learn from your past, the higher your chance of survival. This is why I don't subscribe to this IPOB brand of Biafra. Albeit their effort to keep Biafra alive, their knowledge of the past stinks!

This is where these clowns fail to learn. Those eho fail to learn from history, shall become history themselves. If Ndigbo were smart enough, they should have stopped living in Ugwu-hausa after the riots of 1945 in Jos. After that, came the riots of 1953 in Kano, but do these folks ever learn?

If you ask me I will advise you stick with Paziena advices regardless how hard and harsh it might sound, it's the bitter truth middle beltans have always been a tool and puns to the north and Hausa Fulani.

Ndiigbo si na onye Ndi Ilo gbara okirikiri na eche onwe ya... and that's the truth, take Israel for example, if you are looking for middle belt support against arewa youths then You have already planned to fail same mistake ojukwu made with SS

Ask them to add the letter "R" in front of their names, and add some W and H to them as well, it would surely de Igbonize the names. They can as well remove the first letters.

For example, Okechukwu can be reduced first to Kechuku, then to Rkechuku and then to "Rwhkechuku"

Chukwuemeka to Chukumeka, to Rchukumeka and then to "Rwhchumeka".

For OP your name can be changed to Ramadi, to Rwhamadi.

Problem solved. grin They would even think you are from Rwanda.

The typical Ikwerre don't resemble Igbos we have been told, I'm sure with these name modifications, they would be ok. cool

Well. Too bad for them. They have already made the mistake.
But they can prevent their children from doing same, by implementing all I had said, you know, it might come handy in the future.

But come o! Did you say international passport? Do they need international passport to stay in the North?
All they need is a voters card, driving licence, or national ID card to prove their identity. They are already non Igbo looking, I'm sure they can get new drivers licence to reflect those name changes, they just need to grease some hands.

Oh yes. Igbos consider Ikwrres as Igbo despite the denial of some of them. An Ikwerre man, Uche Okwuwu, is the current secretary general of Ohaneze. Another Ikwerre man, Solomon Chukwu, is one of the leaders of MASSOB. Nigerians cannot tell Ikwerres and Igbos apart. U are free to stay, we only asked igbo to vacate ur land, but make sure u know how to pronounce Gero, if u know how to pronounce it i think u don't have any problem, because igbos don't know how to pronounce Gero, they will say Gelo. That is the only way we can know who is igbo nd who is not igbo.

Ikwerre is Ikwerre, Igbo is Igbo. It doesn't matter what other Nigerians think, that one is left for them to sort out.

By the way, Hitler, a man rumoured to be Austrian ancestry United and made Germany a formidable force after the first world war. Yet Austrians don't consider themselves part of Germany as a country.

Uche Okwukwu and co can identity with us and we should also embrace them, as they might have a lot to offer to the Igbo nation.
But make no mistake about it, Ikwerre as a people are and remain Ikwerre and I dare say Igbophobic.
