Now, am not against religion. I respect people's religion and their beliefs as long as it doesn't affect my own personal life.

Lately, I have found myself surrounded with very fanatic people (most especially Christians) both at work and off-work. Am also a Christian by birth but I don't take it to that level.

The thing is that these set(s) of people are so blindly in tune with their beliefs such that they don't see anything as ordinary, if a fly buzzes across the office, someone sent it. If there is a normal task we should carry out, we have to fast and pray even without doing so much planning.

I can't begin to count different instances but you know the way these people attach spirituality to everything. I initially tried to play along with them but I was getting uncomfortable and I think they may start seeing me as a devil just because I do not share in their extreme beliefs.

Please, have you been in this situation before at work or outside work? What was it like? How did you manage it?

That was how they wanted to come and start praying every morning at my place of work. I told them point blank that if they want to pray they should do that in their houses before coming to work. Once they step their foot into the office they should get their asses to work and not disturb my ears with noise in the name of prayers. NA so that one end o. ....I can't stand over religious people biko.

I try as much as I can to ignore them. Though this might be difficult for you as you do not want them to think you are a "demon". Anyways, you don't have to worry. in due time, they will push you to the wall and at that point you won't care how they feel anymore.

That's serious. I try to tolerate people a lot. So I give them their space and then they want to turn everything to a crusade. I think I have to be blunt too. Thanks.

Sincerely I do not care how they feel anymore. I just want my peaceful life back. Funny enough, these people have issues, they just cover it up with their fanatic lifestyle instead of using their head
