Ultimatum To Igbos Is Anarchy In Waiting - Fayose. by Masterclass32: 9:26pm On Jun 11, 2017 |
Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has advised the Federal Government that the ultimatum given to Igbos living in the North could lead to anarchy, if not checked. According to him, the trend of statements credited to some elements in the North has shown clearly that Nigeria is no longer one. He said this while reacting to a quit notice served on the Igbos in the north by the Coalition of Northern Groups, and which was recently backed by some northern elders, including a former Vice Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Prof. Ango Abdullahi. Fayose said the unity of the nation was threatened like never before in the history of the country. “The gap has widened beyond measure because of the body language of President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration. We are more divided than ever. The elements are emboldened because they believe their person is in office and nothing would happen. “This is not surprising to some of us as the herdsmen set the tone and became notorious under the watch of Buhari. “If this continued, it would further heat up the already tensed situation and promote distrust among ethnic groups in the country.” Fayose urged the federal government to accept responsibility for trend and called for a decisive action to stop it. “Buharis government has not taken responsibility; no responsible government would encourage this. It is an empty threat that if not checked would snowball. This is why people are calling for restructure. “The government should take responsibility and take decisive actions on those promoting war situation in our country. “It is disheartening that a personality like (Ango) Abdullahi would support that; that’s danger lurking in the country. “He should be invited for questioning by security agencies. Leaders should rise up and condemn this instead of giving tacit support to the ultimatum “So many lives have been lost due to the lackadaisical attitude of the Federal Government. All these I saw when I warned that Buhari would leave our country worse than he met it in 2015.” www.dailypost.ng/2017/06/11/ultimatum-igbos-anarchy-waiting-fayose-advises-fg/ |

Igbos should not heed the quit notice. The so called North has a lion sleeping with them and I believe,if they provide a fertile ground for it,it will strike. Any bloodshed from North now against Igbos will be viewed differently and is capable to set the country of fire. 2 Likes |

Is Ekiti state developing or crumbling? Fayose does not come into the media space for development or giant strides achieved in his office outside him bleating all over the media space. Am quite aware he governs a refugee camp whose only desires re food and stipends, but that doesnt stop him from still giving them a little of what they truly deserve. Always talking without nothing to show for it! Cleared some ancestral forest months ago for a proposed airport in Ekiti state and up till now, a bird still cant take flight or land in the forest 2 Likes |

A lot of people called KANU a joker? I challenge the North to kill Igbos, and watch the end of Nigeria. Thank God Kanu is out of jail. 2 Likes |

While there (FG) are at it Ndi IGBO in the North should read through. IGBO LAA IGBO GO (By Arewa 1966) This was the Quit Order of 1966 before the birth of many many of us Ndigbo. This Quit order was said to have been downplayed by the then Military Govnor of the Northern Region in Kaduna, Col Usman Katsina assuring Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu the then Military Governor of Eastern Region that there was no cause for alarm, Baa magana. Today 51 years after, same scenario same Quit Notice same calmdown statement is being repeated and replayed by same actors (or descendants of same actors) as if we are watching award winning movie. In 1966 while Ojukwu allowed and provided trains and trailers that evacuated Ndiawusa from Eastern Region back to the North, Ndigbo nay NdiEast (Nyanmiri) were lured into Emirs palaces and mosques for "protective custody" and therein they were all slaughtered. Today again same history is exactly repeating itself and Govnor El Rufai, Gov Shettima, Chief Lai, IGP say, Igbos should not bother, Igbos should not panic that they are on top of the situation and have even ordered the "arrest" of the "nonentities". Fullstop! End of the Story! 48hrs after the Arrest Order was given no arrest has been made, nobody has been invited by the Police as if the "culprits" are ghosts who don't have addresses and identities. As if it was foreigners that opened the Arewa Gates and Halls for them to hold the (in)famous Conference tagged #Kaduna Declaration! Ndigbo shine your eyes. What killed your father, ... elo (mushroom) What killed your mother, ... elo What is that you are holding in your hands... elo Tufiaakwa Throw it away! It's Aru (Abomination!) The Only unfortunate of history is Only those who refused to learn from history. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Fayose have spoken well. I hope your brothers and Sisters Afonjas we listen to your advice .they keep on deceiving Hausa/Fulani online thinking that war will be on doorstep of Igbo land. they are pushing them to suicide mission. they forgot so soon that we are in 2017 not 1966. They have to thread carefully so they we not regret it later .A word is Enough for the wise |

EmeeNaka:Do you think they dont know this? You guys should better leave their land else you will loose more lives than you did in 1966. Their leaders have kept silent. They control the military and they have quick access to weapons. Better advise your people to go back to their land. |

So this chest beating is still going on? The north has slaughtered igbos before (and other tribes too), so why do you think they won't do so now? If they slaughter igbos today, will you give them their lives back? Stay here and be chest beating, don't tell those you know to come back. We all know that the SE alone cannot win a war with the north if other regions don't help you. kernel505: 1 Like |
