The highlights of the NFF technical committee were as follows;
1.Coach Rohr match day squad will be vetted by the technical committee. He must give reasons why each player was selected.
2.Only after the technical comtee are satisfied with the match day squad before the match day squad team list will be made public.
3.Coach Rohr will make the match day squad team list public before journalist in a press conference.
4.Coach Rohr will answer questions raised by journalists in the press conference. He will defend why he selected his players.
5.A thorough search for better goalkeeper for all our national team has began. They are not satisfied with the choice of some gk when the need arises.
That's the beginning of the end, that's not the return to innocence ,it's return to yourself.

A third choice striker that did not play a single minute all season long?? How reassuring.

How many goals did he score in the dutch league??

I repeat if you give me Nacho, Oshimen and Solanke and I am asked to choose talent wise, Oshimen first, then Nacho. I will even reject Solanke

Shuuuu! Do you know why he was not played? shocked

You are ignorant about it. Next time do ya research.

Belgium Ahead Of Nigeria In Race For FC Utrecht Striker, Who Contributed To 42 Goals Last Season
The Royal Belgian Football Association are thought to be in pole position ahead of their Nigerian counterparts in the race to secure the international future of highly-rated FC Utrecht goal machine Cyriel Dessers.

The striker was born in Leuven, Belgium 22 years ago to a Flemish father Herwig and a Nigerian mom Sophie.

Dessers has trained with Belgium's U21 national team and was close to making his debut in a European U21 Championship qualifier against Moldova in 2015, but did not come off the bench eventually.

In a recent interview with the Dutch press, he admitted that he has never stepped his foot in Nigeria, but hopes to do so in the very near future.

''I feel Belgian. At the same time I accept my roots, because you can not forget where your blood comes from,'' Dessers told bndestem.nl.

''I have been on holiday several times in Africa, but never in Nigeria. That's on my list.''

Last season, Cyriel Dessers contributed to 42 goals (29 goals, 13 assists), which assisted NAC Breda secure promotion to the Eredivisie, and this earned him a transfer to FC Utrecht.

Prior to his move to the Netherlands, he represented Belgian clubs OH Leuven and Lokeren.

EXCLUSIVE: NIGERIA MUST LEARN LESSONS FROM SOUTH AFRICA DEFEAT – SONE ALUKO

Shina Oludare

The forward says the Super Eagles must improve in all areas after their surprise defeat to Bafana Bafana as they prepare to face Cameroon in August

Fulham star Sone Aluko has urged the Super Eagles to learn and move on from Saturday’s stunning defeat to South Africa, insisting there are lots of improvements to be made.

Goals from Tokelo Rantie and Percy Tau were all Stuart Baxter’s men needed to silence Nigeria at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo – a result that could have big implications in the race for 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

Though hurt about the three-time African champions losing their invincibility to Bafana Bafana, the 28-year-old whose brace rescued the team from defeat in 2014 is trusting the Eagles can make adjustments from the frustrations of their performance against the 1996 African champions.

''It was painful and every time Super Eagles lose it's always painful,'' Aluko told Goal.

''I'm a fan first and foremost and as somebody who wants to go back into the team it is even more frustrating because you feel like there is something you can help offer the team.

''It's just ironical; same stadium, same two nil. We lost this game 2-0 and when I played [against South Africa in 2014], I scored two goals though there's no saying if I played this game I'd have scored two goals.

''But we shouldn’t even be looking for miracles because the Super Eagles are big enough to win games. Any team can lose games, that can happen but I think the manner of the loss is what pains people the most.''

Sone Aluko

Nigeria face Cameroon on August 28 as the race for 2018 Fifa World Cup Russia gets hotter, and Aluko reveals the kind of change Rohr’s men need.

''Well, success is not a very good teacher. Sometimes when you keep winning you're successful you don’t actually learn much,’’ he continued.

''But sometimes when you lose, it highlights the small errors and small margins you have to improve on.

''So if we take lessons from that defeat, the Super Eagles will be back. We were missing key players and the defending wasn’t great.

''The team didn’t seem like it gelled well, so there are lots to take from the game. Even the attacking seems disjointed. Before facing Cameroon, there are lots of improvements that can be made.''

Ex-Super Eagles Coach Hands Ohi Norway Debut, Striker Will Consider Nigeria If Contacted By NFF
Former Nigeria manager Lars Lagerbäck handed a debut to Ohi Omoijuanfo when he replaced Alexander Søderlund in the 46th minute of Norway's 1-1 draw with Sweden in an international friendly at Ullevaal Stadion (Oslo) on Tuesday.

Before his debut, Ohi was asked what he would do if he received a phone call from the Nigeria Football Federation about a potential call-up to the Super Eagles.

The striker told Nettavisen : ''Then you must always take their opportunity for consideration. But as I said, I'm here now, and relate to it. I am very proud and happy to be with this national team''.

Ohi Omoijuanfo impressed and had two opportunities to double the advantage for the home team on his debut.

In the 53rd minute, the Stabæk frontman's left-footed shot from the centre of the box was blocked and he came close with a header 13 minutes from time.

Oslo-born Ohi had played for Norway's U16, U17, U18, U19 and U21 teams before his maiden appearance for the senior team on Tuesday.

Go and check the Spanish, Italian and Brazilian teams, they still have quite a number of players that went to 2 or 3 World cups.

Besides, I guarantee that after 3 years, these same set of young players will be discarded for another set of young players. Na d norms be that now for Super Eagles . grin

Exclusive: Chelsea Looking To Offload Super Eagles Star This Summer

Allnigeriasoccer.com has been informed that Premier League champs Chelsea are looking to offload Nigeria international Kenneth Omeruo before the close of the summer transfer window.

The central defender is not in the plans of manager Antonio Conte and Technical director Michael Emenalo next season, and the Stamford Brige outfit are willing to sell him outright rather than farm him out on another season-long loan.

Since joining Chelsea in January 2012 from Sunshine Stars, Omeruo has yet to make a first team appearance for the Blues and has enjoyed loan spells at ADO Den Haag, Middlesbrough, Kasimpasa and Alanyaspor.

The 23-year-old center back is understood to be attracting interest from unnamed clubs in France and Turkey.

Chelsea paid 800,000 pounds to take him from Sunshine Stars, with the Nigerian Professional Football League outfit inserting a ten percent sell-on clause into the deal.

Chelsea Demand Record N4.55 Billion Tribunal Fee From Liverpool For Solanke

Published: June 14, 2017

Premier League champions Chelsea are demanding a hefty fee from Liverpool before they complete the signing of English-born Nigerian wonderkid Dominic Solanke in the summer transfer window.

The London Evening Standard says the Blues want over ten million pounds (N4.55 billion) in compensation for the England U20 international.

Liverpool had offered three million pounds for Solanke but his stock has risen after helping the Young Lions clinch the Fifa U20 World Cup, and winning the Golden Ball, awarded to the best player at the tournament.

If The Reds fail to agree financial terms with Chelsea, the Professional Football Compensation Committee will have to meet next month to decide the true valuation of the player.

Liverpool were forced to pay a record tribunal fee of eight million pounds before acquiring Danny Ings from Burnley in 2015.

Chelsea Ace Victor Moses Urges Henry To Choose West Ham Ahead Of Arsenal

Chelsea dazzler Victor Moses is encouraging Eupen's Nigerian striker Henry Onyekuru to choose a transfer to West Ham ahead of London rivals Arsenal, it has been claimed.

The Super Eagles creator spent the whole of the 2015-2016 season on loan at the Hammers and said some nice things about the club when he was contacted by Onyekuru.

''The Nigerian wants to play for the London Stadium side despite reports in Belgium saying Eupen wanted him to go to a more prestigious club,'' Simon Jones of Daily Mail wrote.

''Onyekuru, who has one international cap, has spoken to Chelsea's Victor Moses about living in London and has been encouraged to make the move to West Ham where Moses played on loan in 2015-16.''

Italy international Angelo Ogbonna was an important member of West Ham's first team last season, while Tunji Akinola and Ajibola Alese play for the youth teams.

We can't generalize all the players abroad because of one or two bad sheeps. It's not wise.

Lookman was part of team Nigeria in England for some time but nobody invited him to the national team. They sounded Amuneke but he was not interested.

Dominic Solanke showed interest but NFF refused to act. Period.

So to you, Lookman would have come for African Youth Championship qualifiers. Do you even notice that Olympics qualifiers is even handled by home based players?

I understand the approach of Forgiveness sometimes you need a true striker to hold up play and push the CB's back and prevent them from linking up to the midfield.

I don't think Anichebe is a prolific goal scorer by any stretch of Imagination but he may cause more of a nuisance than Ideye I suggest.

I'd rather have fanendo Adi, ighalo or ideye in his place.

Difficult when the club says you have a position in the main squad. However most clubs are not seeking loan but outright buying or loan with option to buy.

What does Onazi have to do with Alhassan Ibrahim? I just see that u are taking the easy way out. Ndidi barely completed a pass and had trouble trapping the ball. Etebo brought zero creativity into the match. Onazi was not perfect but anyone who gives him the brunt of the blame either doesn't know football or is being sentimental.

ok so if these three guys aren't availabe yet again? We will endure this rubbish again?! For someone who appreciates experience you are too quick to dismiss these players. Osaze to be quite frank would have offered more than Moses Simon, #Fact. Martins would have offered more than Iheanacho #Fact, so these people still have something to offer. Quite frankly I'd want Martins, Osaze and Hope Akpan back

I agree 100%.

Hope Akpan is 25 and I know some don't like to hear this that's his 100% real age, Odemwingie also is 35 if they were born in Nigeria Hope would be an U21 and Osaze 28/29.

Defoe is 34 and after a storming season for Sunderland has negotiated a £130k a week salary with Bournemouth and has been called back to the England squad. He is officially older than Martins.

Gyan who featured for Ghana is in my estimation older than all our strikers unofficially but he still features for Ghana and they just slaughtered Ethiopia.

These guys should be invited to camp and given the chance to prove themselves.

Imagine Anichebe was in that match against SA I truly believe it would have been a totally different outcome.

I am disappointed that Guardiola insists he will not let Nacho go without a replacement. It will prove difficult convincing a quality striker to join City because our Chairman, Khaldoon Al Mubarak insists Aguero is staying. With Gabriel Jesus there, a quality striker might end up not playing.

With Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling who can play as strikers, I think Guardiola should let Iheanacho go and promote one of the young forwards. Moreno will join the team later and I see Gundogan and Sane having the ability to play the role.

Although they are not as lethal as Iheanacho in the box, I feel we can cope without Nacho. I hope Guardiola sanctions Nacho's departure early to give what ever clubs that gets him time to blend him in during the preseason.

Onazi was better than the other midfielders, he never lost a duel in that encounter. While Etebo had a poor game, Ndidi was the worst of them all.
Ndidi barely found the next man with his passes, in the 2nd half, he was in no man's land, I'm not sure he knew the role he was playing.
I guess, he escaped criticism because he plays in the Epl. Just like people were making excuses for Kelechi and Iwobi, instead the Nigerian psycho fans would rather throw Moses Simon (who actually tried to make something happen) under the bus. If Moses Simon was playing for Watford, his efforts would have been more appreciated.
