I was arguing with my friends on Sunday.... When I cited example of Igbo guys pushing drugs, all of them were of the school of thought that those guys are hustling. I just gv up...

Just take a look at the criminals, these are the types that dominate iporks touts calling Nigeria a zoo.

You can imagine the type of people thinking of self-governing and insulting the sensibilities of well meaning Nigerians including responsible and educated Easterners.

Are you saying that the Cedi is now more valuable than the Naira?

What you have there is the redenominated value of the Cedi. Some zeros are off due to the recalibration. Its purchasing power remains significantly lower than that of the Naira.
so why are nigerians running in huge numbers to ghana

Do not blame Buhari please. Soludo wanted to revalue the Naira then at rate of N20-$1 after the bank consolidation, yardua and lebanese did not allow the dream come to pass.

The way naira dey fall, time go reach wey we go require Ghana-must-go bag to shop. To say there was a time cedis was nothing compared to naira, now see margin, it's annoying. Shame on our leaders, particularly the Daura man who has failed back-to-back.

For the thieves, do the crime and do the time. Your get rich or die trying mentality is the reason you guys should do the time.
6000ghc~ #600,000 but rather #400,000 so please ddnt compared naira against cedis. naira gain weight more Dan cedis, I reside in Accra so I knew d system well.

Ghana removed '000' from their currency unit around that Yar'Adua period. Soludo wanted to remove '00' from the Naira to re-denominate it but Yar'Adua refused.

The three Zeros they cut out made the currency look stronger. But not really stronger. C100,000 became just C100. N1,000 would have become just N10 but with same value as 1k under Soludo plan.

Going to commit robbery in Ghana. Imagine the impact on honest Nigerians there now.

When money is everything, people do anything to get it.

We need to re-evaluate things and look at ourselves critically.

We now have a culture that worships money and award chieftaincy titles, front seat in churches, used to sing by musicians and command a retinue of hangers-on.

Very sad.

i see you don't understand the Ghanaian currency..you should ask questions instead of disgracing yourself here. Thanks

But 1 cedi is equivalent to 70 naira so what are talking about? Back in the days the reverse was the case where 1 naira exchanged for about 70 cedis.

[quote author=naijamakossa post=57527027]naira still has alot of value than cedis ,that ghc6000 is almost 6million cedis, you need to understand there currency well before you can understand what I mean.[/quote

Which value? $1= ghc 4.41 while the same $1 = N314.75
