The applicant is sending a letter and I am also doing a supporting letter.
Are they to be addressed differently? How?
@ekpotek

If the applicant intend to stay with you. Do will need to write letter to ECO briefly describing the relationship between the applicant and you. The purpose of the applicant visit to the U.K. When will the applicant arrive your house, how long will the applicant be staying with you. What activities the applicant intend to carry out while staying with you. Include your telephone number, email address

The applicant will in turn also write a cover letter to ECO explaining the purpose of the visit and address any issues such as reasons previous refusals, or any issues with documents submitted.

Pls can anyone here answer me. Pls thanks for ur time
Jaelgold:
Good day everyone, pls I'm new here and I kindly need ur opinion on this issue pls. I did my biometrics on the 15th of March 2017, I also got a mail confirmatory mail that my application has reached Sheffield for decisions. After 60days I also got a mail saying that decision has not been made. I am a bit confused and don't know wat to believe.
Secondly wen I use the UkVI tracking what I see is that my ref No is not recognized and when I use the tracking from TLS it shows that decision has not been made. Thanks

Lol who said you will be denied? No, the ECO will decide who gets visa or not, but there's nothing ludicrous about adding tax returns/clearance card. It's not compulsory though

Solatium:

It does not need to make sense to you,but it does make sense to those who are in it, ask around to know how many people always have their tax and pensions deducted from source monthly nut there are no evidence of remittance, they usually don't know these sharp practices until when they need a tax clearance or out of their job and wanting to access their pension.

@just.wise,you need to admit you don't know it all, there are one million and one things you don't know and you need ti admit and let go when people come up with superior argument backed by facts and figures..Shalom

What is the use of discussing the bolded if it's not to say that you need to show that your company is remitting your tax?

travelland:

Let's not argue about this, VFS is not the embassy but we were taught and know what the embassy requires because we were the ones who collect the documents from applicants, we worked with the checklist and when they are refused they come back to us to resubmit so you can't tell me we will not be in a good place to know what the embassy wants.

While working some of us employees had tax clearance cards, if one includes it, this helps in making his status as an employee more authentic in case they may be having doubts as payslips can be manipulated but they have a way of verifying the authenticity of a tax card

You've made your point and I've made mine, the OP can chose to pick which one he wants.

Don't appropriate powers that are not yours. Tax card for an employee is not compulsory. It is not even necessary. Don't make this process more onerous than it has to be.

Hmmm, some of you are funny. Who forced you, did I write any where that it's compulsory? With justwise deleting the content of my full message I can't respond how i want to so stop quoting me

My experience on documentation issue is not in contention. STOP QUOTING me, I can't respond fully as part of my response is usually deleted, take what you want and leave the rest

Am happy for you.you talked about covering letter, how does it look like. Do u ve a format

Hi,
It was just the sponsor letter detailing his and our circumstances eg reason for visit etc. That's what I was referring to.
There's a section in the form where we went into details on addressing the reasons they gave for his last refusal. We addressed every single reason they gave in the refusal letter as we didn't have documents they needed cos the form on the first application/ refusal was filled incorrectly.
My dad filled the form himself and included a business which was in his friend's name as his simply because he and his friend registered 2 businesses. 1 in dad's name ad the otherbin friend's name. They shared an office and had an informal arrangement whereby both business were being run as one and most of the paperwork was in his friend's business name with all proceeds divided equally. Unfortunately friend is late and he could not back up claims cos it was an informal arrangement and he didn't submit any doc for the business cos it's not in his name and he has no access to them.
We addressed this irregularity by saying he is retired now and currently has no business of his own.
We also failed to include my own passport and proof of residency, which we provided this time around and included marriage certificate and change of name, which explains why the sponsor's surname my husband's is different from my dad's name.
So my advicr will be to make good use of that additional information section to address anything you think might be questioned and you don't have sufficient documentation to support.

Are you saying we (employee)should be paying double tax? I receive 200k plus and my employer deducts tax at the end of the month and it reflects on my payslips but Do you advise i go to the tax office to make another payment? After my employer had done that? How much am i gonna be left wif? I know of so many applicants that has never submitted pay slips nor tax cert and after all they got their Visas. Just do the needful, if your employer deducts tax and it shows on ur payslip then no need for another payment. if you have excess money to throw away then pay double tax. To me it doesnt make any sense. Justwise..... Longest time.

Hi guys, please I will go straight to the point. A friend of mine, an airforce official, has an uncle abroad who runs a creche. He needed 2 people to come and work for him there as 2 of his staffs had left. One got married and the other travelled to US after working 2 years. My friend asked if I was interested and I said yes and we got rolling. I have been reading so many stuffs here and it has left me confused. I paid 61k for visa application and 18k for health insurance or travel insurance. I was asked to provide that and I don't have it so I paid 18k for it to be done. My friend travelled with our passports to Abuja to give to someone who his uncle told him to give and the person submitted it to UK embassy. The uncle sent the letter of invitation and other documents to the person who in turn is to submit to the embassy. The uncle abroad is the one sponsoring us as we are coming to work for him. He's also sponsoring our flight fee. We have agreed on payment and accommodation. My question is this: I have been seeing stuffs like biometrics and emails and the rest. Though I submitted my email address and passport photograph as well. But I'm yet to receive any mail and I'm yet to do any biometrics. Is it not necessary? I was told the Visa would take 32working days cos it's a 2yrs visa.

please @justwise @travelland and everyone who can help. Thanks.

Unfortunately you have been scammed, if i were you i will ask that they cancel that application and return your passport.

Getting a visa to work with children in the UK is almost impossible if you don't have a proven profile in that job, you need to do an extensive CRB to be able to get such job.

1.The UK work visa cost more than 61K

2. Nothing like health insurance what you pay is health subcharge which is £200 a year, so its £400 for that 2yrs visa and not 18K they collected from you.

3. Yes biometric is a must.

4. Your friend's uncle can't just send sponsorship letter, what is needed certificate of sponsorship and it comes from the homeoffice.

This whole thing is a scam, take your mind off it and i hope you don't get fake visa stamp on that passport.

Sorry, it seems you've been scammed. You should visit www.gov.uk to get information about your visa type. Your employer will need to provide a certificate of sponsorship and all his business documents to support you, also you need to show proven qualifications and evidence of past experience.

Biometrics is a must for all UK visa applicants except in exceptional cases where it cannot be taken due to disability or inability to obtain it from the applicant (very rare)
you will still have to make yourself available for the staffs to determine this

Your application should be under Tier 2 General. Is your employer a licensed operator? You will need your TB test result (from a designated test center), also police character certificate will come in handy

Try doing it yourself without using an agent or if you must make sure it's someone who knows his/her onions

Hello All,
Can anyone who has manged to log in to the TLS website list on here the supporting documents required. Since I have not yet been able to apply for a date on the visa4UK website( July is not open yet and I need a july date) I am not able to go n register on TLS website. I would appreciate if any one could list them here. Thank you
Also, one quick question, in the past when I have written an invitation letter for my Mum I was single and lived by myself, so now that I am married does this IV letter have to be written and signed by both I and my Spouse. I dunno if this makes any difference really. Just checking

Thank you

Hi...much thanks to all the gurus in the house. I've been following this thread silently for a while but used the tips therein..I just picked up my 6months visit visa after being rejected twice by UK and once by US.
Anyways,to add to the tax debate,I only used my payslips from work, don't have tax clearance certificate.

Once again, thanks guys.
