I have some concerns which I will like to share with my noble family. I applied for student visa to Canada This year Jan but was denied though they stated I can re apply, but what pained me so much was that my company wanted to sponsor it.

That's by the way, I had plans to to see a gynea for medical investigation if i have gotten my Canadian visa but since they denied me I have made up my mind to apply to USA on medical grounds.

I have also applied for a pleasure (vacation) visit last year to USA but was also denied . I am confused as I don't know if I will also be denied if I applied on medical grounds.

PLEASE my great family I need your advice as in what to do and how to go about it.

But for medical Examination are you saying no Nigerian hospital can examine you? Do you have medical evidence to show that you situation can't be handled locally? Are you going for operation? What is the cost can you afford it?

But the same you applied for a pleasure trip and was denied. Now you have switched to Medical...

I was denied today at Walter Carrington but I am so ashamed writing this now. I applied for two different programmes in CSU. MED curriculum (for summer but I didn't go) and Msc mathematics (deferred from spring to fall as I couldn't go) for fall which I really want to do. The school sent me both I20 at different times though but since I didn't go I requested for a new one for maths, fall... I got my I20 with the admission letter clipped to it stating the maths programme. So I got all docs ready and applied. I was just about to sign my I20 today Wen I discovered the major on the I20 was education, Not mathematics. This was where I lost my senses. I was torn between weda to go on with the interview or cancel it. This has never happened to anyone on NL before. I decided to put some points together to defend the education programme hoping to get the correct I20 when I resume

Documents that prove your age, LGA, state and country of origin. Speak to any of the officers on duty, they'll show you what to do, where to go, in time. You should get your passport in a week, max.

If you're in lag , you definitely can't get it in a week, mine took a little over a month and I had to disturb them constantly and mine was a renewal o. So prepare for the worst and pray for the best .

Not everyone asked how much or if you are with any dollars so its not compulsory so take what you are comfortable with...just ensure if it over 10, 000 usd ensure you declare it on the form or it can be sezied

Yellowcard not needed or used

Immunizations...most schools require that and its more expensive to do it in d USA so best to sort this in Nigeria before u leave..... ask your parents for the record of your baby Immunizations so you dont ryetake what u have taken as a child

Documents...at the minium have all your school document with u

Can a Bachelors degress holder in Materials Engineering apply for masters in a field such as Radiology Technology or Health Physicist. This particular person is currently working in the Oil and Gas industry as a Field engineer with International certifications. However he is interested in pursuing a course in Radiation to help improve radiation safety at work. Any inputs? or he definitely needs to apply for masters in materials engineering.

Sorry about the delay. Nothing to be ashamed about. We all make mistakes. You should have resechelduled the appointment and requested for a new 1-20. Anyway u still have time. Request for a new 1-20 and schedule another interview. All the best.

The problem is there is lack of booklet so now its taking ages both home and abroad to get a nigeria passport ........most of my friends here are even given travel document since january instead of the actual passport which is out of stock .

I think you should have said you need the master degree to pick up a lecturing job at a university here in Nigeria because you intend to change your job when you return to Nigeria.
