Shiv needs to wash her eyes with jik to see who Dora really is.

I don't think that's what she needs. she needs to be bitten well by the snake called Dora, then she will learn. Her type does not learn from past mistakes but rather experience ugly incident.

The story had gone far and that was the reason I didn't join the thread all this while. The cover prompted me to read the first chapter because I needed to know what the story is all about. Surprisingly tradition got me glued to my phone since friday night. I read from page 0 to page 93. This story really made my weekend.

The story is unique, historical (rich in culture) Sincerely African writer's need not to look else where for a rich story. We have enough story to tell about our culture and traditions. I love epic stories. Imagine, I'm not Igbo but this story opened my eyes to their custom.

This is a beautiful (love)story and I give it to the writer. Well done, your source(s) of inspiration will never run dry. More, wisdom and strength to you in Jesus name.

'NG don't you think you are being rather rash. You are the queen of this kingdom. You can't possibly leave this kingdom and go somewhere else. it's not done Anywhere'

'Oluchi, it's my decision to leave the igwe. I can't remain with him. he's betrayed me in so many ways. and I don't think I can ever forgive him. Never! '

Her Elder sister walked up to her placing a reassuring hand on he shoulder 'calm down NG. you are not the first woman to have her husband screw her best friend. it has been happening since ages. you are not the first. neither would you be the last. forgive and forget. move on.

'its not that easy to move on! Killing Freda would have made it easier but she's nowhere to be found!' She slapped her thighs exasperatedly.

'i heard she travelled abroad'

'good for her' She threw her expensive lace into the wide ecolac box 'foolish woman!'

'but dont let her spoil your marriage. Endure. Marriage's all about endurance'

'no way!'

'does Dike even know about all of this?'

Ngozi stopped and swallowed 'no. He doesnt know about whats been happening. But i plan on spending a week in his house before travelling out'

Oluchi sighed tired of arguing with her strong-headed younger sister 'but you know you should have told Ndu you're at least coming to her house?'

Ngozi sent her a look 'and regret it same way i'm regretting telling you now?' She scoffed 'no way'

Oluchi sighed again and decided helping her sister pack 'but Dike's supposed to be aware of this and even more. Isnt he the first son, the heir apparent to the throne? What kind of a king does it make it make him if he doesnt even know whats happening in his immediate family? What happens when he becomes Igwe? Are you sure he's even going to be aware of the happenings in the community? Does he even know whats going on in Maazi Nduka's family as we speak?'

Ngozi laughed 'my son isnt the least interested in the things going on here my dear. He's so cooked up in that small successful business he's running that he doesnt care whats happening'

Oluchi clicked her tongue, a habit the family knew her with 'thats very bad. I'll call him and speak with him'

'dont even bother. That boy is a nutcrack and i'm going to show him hell when i get to his place, bet me'

Her sister laughed.

Diego raised a brow at the visitor as she crossed her legs and drank slowly from the cup of steaming coffee he had offered her.

She looked.....beautiful!
And familiar too.

She was dressed in a white crop top and jean shorts which was covered in a red trench coat. Her feet was adorned with a silver flat a-little-above-the-ankle ropy sandals. Her make up was heavy and her lips heavily coated with red lipstick which made her lips attractive.

At first when he had opened the door, he had found her standing there nervous and he noticed she tried straining her neck trying to see inside.

'uhm...good...good day...i...i presume you're Dr Diego Fataveli right?'

He had scrutinised her, taking in her neat appearance before nodding 'hallo. Yes i am. Any problem?'

'please can i come in? Or do you have a visitor?'

'visitor?' He looked back into the house as if checking 'no. None'

Then she smiled broadly and licked her lips 'can i come in then? Or is your wife in?'

'uhm...' He remembered Vero 'yes. Are you here for her?'

'actually i'm here for you. Sorry, it came out wrongly. I'm actually here for a job. But...we cant talk here. Its actually a little cold'

'a job?' He looked confused 'we didnt advertise for any job vacancy here'

'can i at least please come in?'

'sure sure, why not?' He opened the door wider and she entered taking in her environment.

She smiled 'you have a really nice place'

'thanks' He looked at her again 'have a seat. What do i offer you? You look tired and famished'

She smiled again 'you're actually very observant. But no,
