My arguement is not that we go back to the pre colonial times but that we advance on the aspects of our cultures that can be carried into this era. I am not saying we shouldn't be modern but that we be modern in our own way.
For example, the Chinese were the first to produce gun powder, but the problem with the Chinese was that they were not quick to interrract with the outside world. The west learned to spread out(though by fighting wars such as the crusades) they learnt from not just Chinese and Indians but also the Persian Islamic empire and then modified it with their own. Christianity is a corrupted version of Judaism, and was done so by the Romans. What am saying is you cannot pretend to be custodians of African culture when you dont even have an official indegenous national language in your country.
