Sadly aunty spambot was over active last night and My wicked boss has been making me work overtime for 2 days now.  oya let's fire on.....We stopped at see engine www.nairaland.com/attachments/5505388_img20170614wa013_jpeg8faf138cb0766afcd7496212d474cb3c It was a lovely sight to behold, No oil stains, aluminum was the colour of aluminum, bolts where all shiny, and catalyst what very intact and white. Instantly I knew she was the one I was taking back to mama! Usually I do a VIN check before I purchase an expensive engine that has its origin from USA or Canada, apart from the usual checks when buying an engine, a vin check can give you insight into what to expect. You can always find the vin tag on the engine or transmission, and it refers to the VIN for the Vehicle the engine/transmission came from My Vin reports are usually done by the one and only Computerglobal his reports come in quick and are always accurate. Examples Vin reports that discourage me from buying an engine. * flood of any kind * Fires affecting engine area (Fire might have been put out by water) * multiple users with high mileage (over 300k) awon taxi drivers * sever Front impact the clearly Damaged the engine/transmission frame, but you see a complete engine in the market (awon boys have replaced all broken parts for you, unfortunately they do not always do a good job at that)Etc....... You can add yours... Vinreports that give me joy. * Low mileage rollovers * Rear impact low mileage * Minor front impact, engine Not disabled (low mileage) * Hail damage (Thank you Baba God) * Insurance Fraud (you will not understand why car was even listed as salvaged )* Side impact low mileage Etc....... So basically I'm getting an engine under 86,000miles front impact, Fair enough Sharply I made payment, and I called my boy who parked on one lonely street with my toyota avensis (to avoid paying 500parking fees) to come and meet me at toyota bustop. www.nairaland.com/attachments/4049335_img20160714091058_jpegd0d29d82fca283beb7f35ca6628c1061 It was raining, they had trucked the engine to toyota bustop where he was waiting.... Normally this is a job for my old faithful Peugot 406 wagon, but one of you took her from me  Note this engine came with every thin apart from the serpentine belt (one sharp guy must have sniped it in the container) OPENED boot, loaded engine waved every one good by told my boy to move to the front passengers seat while I drive (I do not like being driven) 5seconds into the drive I noticed a wobble on the steering I am like abiodun, wetin you climb!!!  We came down and low and behold there was an oil pressure sensor stuck in the front right tyre That is when you know your village people are on your case....... do not forgett I had waved the truck pushers good bye and just placed a how many tone engine and transmission on top my spare tyre in the boot and air is currently leaking out of 1 tyre in front in the rain Digest this one let me encourage a client on remotely follow repair I will be back...... 4 Likes |

Ok back to tori........ Next, just throw it into the engine bay When the old engine was taken out, the main sub frame(beam) was washed to ensure it was clean.(free of ikorodu mud  )www.nairaland.com/attachments/5505348_img20170615163127_jpeg6b2583b6c9c2cbda2abb76c1816fc8d1 I forgot to mention this. New engine came with 1vtech solenoid and 1 vtech pressure switch, so I had to swap in my old one into the new engine (ugly dirty body )www.nairaland.com/attachments/5514794_img20170614151922_jpegb9a6b7330620782489e422214d21fb52 www.nairaland.com/attachments/5514817_img20170610105651_jpeg79b2049c871d7e69c9e2bed37b511c69 I washed it thorolly with a wire brush, but mehn if it's not panadol, e cannot fit be like panadol Next is to flush all pipes. Radiator. Next it was time to wash the actual radiator. Engine mount on the front right and base of gearbox also replaced. Pulled a vaccum to ensure no leaks.... It held at -13psi high and -12psi low for over an hour. If I here say I waste this engine oil thunder fire me Engine oil was at the full mark and as clear as ororo. I will use this engine oil for 2000miles before changing going by the vin report, engine oil if synthetic will still be very useable, and it is not contaminated. Every thing ready for a start * fluids: check * harness: check * coolant : check (using water first) * battery power: check * petrol : unknown guage looks really low. Starting engine............. Engine turned normally but E no start Turned it until the oil light went off then stopped. Sent monday to go buy fuel sharp sharp. 2 Likes |

poured 2 gallons of fuel (10liters) Primed the engine 4times (turn ignition key on and of with 3second intervals between turns. Started engine again............ According to kazeem 1hand!!
