Well, i applied and got nominated in 17 days. Wait for next draw and if crs does not come down, u can take the risk. High chance of nomination if your docs are on point.

17 days !! That's very fast! I'd say that's 1500CAD well spent.

I learnt they started that practice recently. It's very sad how we make things difficult for each other in this country. That's why am opting for IQAS since they don't send for verification after receiving the transcript directly from the institution.

exactly what i said to him, UNN should have the most expensive fee charged for transcript and now this, it appears the University only cares about reaping off its alumni.

We didn't pay that much. It was like 7k or 9k, can't remember.

okay. someone said he was charged 10k for certificate verification and another 10k for transcript verification. I guess I would just have to go with IQAS rather than dash UNN extra kobo.

Hi Blackbuddy,

Please could you share more detail on the what you mean by "meet the PNP requirements".

My understanding is after province nomination, you get 600 additional points and one will surely get ITA in the next draw (considering the recent trend in CRS points).

I thought post ITA is same either you got direct ITA (without province nomination) or you added points (+600) via province nomination to get ITA ?

Thanks.

Hello,

I have job experience of 5 years (excluding NYSC) and a lacuna of 5 months having resigned and not been able to get a job immediately. Will it after my work experience?

I do not have the money needed for proof of funds and will like to know if my dad can operate my account for about 7 months before I migrate or he can just transfer the money once. I thought EE route does not require POF for single.

I have paid for WES and intend evaluating my Bsc and MSc results. Is this a good idea?

Hello all,

I've created this thread for Canadian Express Entry and outstanding FSW 2014 applicants since the previous thread became too long and has now been closed. I've also pasted a PDF link below which details the step by step instructions to apply for the Federal Skilled Workers Program via Express Entry.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4gWGgP8Vy5lSjFoaC01ZUtOaTg/view

In order to apply for Express Entry via FSW you need to first have a minimum of 1 year full time (30 hrs a week) or 2 years part time (15 hrs a week) skilled work experience which falls under NOC code A,B or O. Check for your NOC code below:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.asp

Next take your IELTS General test.

Then evaluate your degree or credentials via WES Canada (the best option). See link below:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.asp

After doing the above, to find out if you've qualified you need to score a minimum of 67 points out of 100 in the FSW grid. Calculate your score below:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-factors.asp

Now that you've qualified, you can go ahead and complete your Express Entry profile via the link below:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/profile.asp

Other things you must have:

Reference letters to verify the work experience you're claiming points for in the specified format below:

Written on company letterhead.

Signed by the responsible officers/supervisor.

Have the printed name and job title of the responsible officer/supervisor beneath the signature.

Show the company’s full address, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail and website addresses

Stamped with the company’s official seal (if applicable)

The letter must include 5 things:

Your job title.

The dates of your employment (ideal format: DD/MM/YYYYY).

Your salary per year (or month).

Your average hours per week.

A detailed list of your employment duties.

Next you need to provide police certificates from all the countries you've resided in for 6 months and above since you were 18 years. See link on how to obtain PC from various countries below:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/infORmation/security/police-cert/index.asp

Then you need to provide proof of funds for you and/or your family:

Number of
Family Members Funds Required
(in Canadian dollars)
1 $12,164
2 $15,143
3 $18,617
4 $22,603
5 $25,636
6 $28,913
7 or more $32,191 (I've updated the funds requirement)

Note: Birth certificates are no longer required for applicants but are only now required for your child/children.

Wishing you the best of luck smiley!

Its $12,300 CAD actually....
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by Nobody: 8:34am On Jun 20, 2017

Please see below.

1 $11,931
2 $14,853
3 $18,260
4 $22,170
5 $25,145
6 $28,359
7 or more $31,574

Therefore for a single applicant you need $11,931 Canadian which is equivalent to N1,779,260 as at today's exchange rate. You need to show 6 months bank statement but the money doesn't need to be in your account for the full 6 months. However any large inflow into your account within the 6 months needs to be explained and backed up by the proper documentation, therefore it's advisable for the funds to be in your account for the full 6 months to avoid complications.

What is the best explanation for lodging such a huge amount within 6 months ?

EBENEZERABAYOMI:
can one use land papers in place of money as PoF

Hi - See information from the CIC website These funds could be in the form of:
•cash,
•documents that show property or capital payable to you (such as stocks, bonds, debentures, treasury bills, etc.), or
•documents that guarantee payment of a set amount of money, which are payable to you (such as bankers’ drafts, cheques, travellers’ cheques or money orders).

And from Canada Visa forum - This is totally acceptable by CIC and they appreciate that you may not have actually sold the property at the point you are required to supply this information and make allowances for this. You should then get your property valued by three independent companies. These can be real estate agents, property valuation companies, etc. Make sure you get the valuation on letter headed paper and signed. If you send both the mortgage details and the valuations then CIC can see how much equity you have available.

So, even though you MAY be able to use land papers + evaluation + LOE, it may be dicey.....so, let it be a final course of action, used only when all else has failed. My two cents

You are very correct with all the information you've stated about PNP/ITA etc....

So, even though you have been invited for nomination by a province, it does not automatically guarantee you the 600 points. You still have to meet the requirements of that province to be eligible for the points. Ontario for example, have an Application Guide on their portal that states clearly all you need to submit to be eligible...I believe other provinces will have same too. Some of the supporting docs you have to submit include (but not limited to) - copy of NOI, passport, passport photograph, birth cert, degree certs, WES evaluation, language test results, settlement funds, work related docs etc... After submission, they then process your application and if you are found eligible, they award the 600 points via your CIC account...then you get ITA (when next there is a draw) and the process continues from there....

Hope this clarifies things...?
