I watched an Ethiopian crime movie on dstv recently and indeed it was a fresh departure from the usual.I wish they will just project themselves more and use more of their ancient sites like those rock churches in Lalibela.It could earn them money like Nigeria.

There are also some musics and documentaries that were broadcasted. I've seen it, but they are very very very............few.

Ethiopia cultures, wildlife and natural landscapes should definitely be documented and seen on international channels like National Geography, NatioWild and History channels. Ethiopia has more great things than anyone even Ethiopians themselves think.

Like i said it's not as black and white as some make it out to be. For example, you can have Coastarian with both Native Swahili and Arab ancestry, is that person Arab or Swahili? it will solely depend on how they identify.

There are Arab-Arabs and there are Swahili-Arabs the latter speak Swahili as their mother tongue & practice Swahili culture, those are swahilis by way of culture and language but Arabs by way of ancestry.

He's a billionaire business man with interests in horticulture, dairy, banking, real estate, etc

All Bantus(who make the majority) are farmers by tradition. It should be around 70%, But lately, other communities are learning and venturing into farming.

Land in the rural areas is permanent ownership (freehold tenure). Also communally owned in some other areas where land subdivision has not happened and land is used as in the precolonial days. Leaseholds are mostly in the urban centres with regard to land owned by government or individuals who chose to lease or sublease.

It's hard to define Swahili people sometimes even Swahilis themselves don't know what they want to be. They started of as Africans (Bantus whatever) but after all this heavy cultural and ethnic mixing which lets be clear happened mostly in the last 300 years or so, they have become 1/2 Africa 1/2 Indian Ocean.
