Please are residential houses in Toronto or do i look for accommodation in the outskirts of Toronto.

All 4 members of my family are on the original application and nothing has changed as per family composition. If nothing has changed about your family composition then you don't need to fill the said form..
Just send the requirements via DHL to them.. Congratulations.

YOUR IMMIGRANT VISA(S) APPEAR(S) READY TO BE ISSUED, IF THERE HAS BEEN NO CHANGE IN YOUR FAMILY CONFIGURATION. IF THERE HAVE BEEN ANY CHANGES, PLEASE CONTACT OUR OFFICE BEFORE PROCEEDING .
if there are any changes, you would need to send a msg to cpc ottawa.

@pauloverdi, ensure you fill and submit the imm008 form, fill a likely province you intend to relocate. it is not cast in stone

This was not directed at me but here is my input.

There are residential houses in Toronto but be warned the housing market there has been described by many as "fierce". Its rent rates are high and they keep rising and there is a lot of competition. If the logistics work out for you, you may be better off living in the outskirts or neighboring cities. Many of the surrounding cities have good transport links with TO and a lot of people commute there from the outskirts.

Thanks for your responses my ogas and madams. Almost sent the documents without the form this morning but changed my mind at the last minute. I guess I'll go with what @chinchum said. I've already filled the form and I put Alberta as my preferred location. Can't remember what I filled in the original application cos the prints aRe not here with me. Ikk go back this afternoon and send everything. God bless you guys

Please consider renting outside Toronto and look at Mississauga, Brampton, Oakville which are nearby cities and in my opinion, better places to raise a family. The transportation system across the GTA is inter-connected so you will be able to get around very well between cities. To be candid, the majority live outside Toronto but commute daily to work. This is just like in Lagos where a good number of people live off the island but commute to VI and Ikoyi. The difference here is that the life shortening traffic challenge is not an issue as the roads are better and most public transport lines are reliable.

This is a link to kijiji, the Canadian equivalent of Nigeria's OLX where you can search for and get an idea what almost anything cost including rentals. http://www.kijiji.ca/b-real-estate/mississauga-peel-region/c34l1700276

But have it at the back of your mind that most landlords/agents here will not entertain your enquiries unless you have landed. They are wary of foreigners especially Nigerians as you can understand. You can still find some people who may be willing to discuss with you but I advise that you 'see' what you are getting into first before committing your self, especially financially.

You can also check on http://viewit.ca/city/Mississauga.aspx to see what is available, Just enter your spec and review what comes up to get an idea what is going on. Any area you find, simply Google it to learn about the neighborhoods and other issues of interest.

I have an msc from a UK school and prince2(foundation), do I need to upgrade by going to doing a prog in a Canadian school? Because all I see/hear is like they don't recognize any non-Canadian certification.

Please help.

Send It if you can, I didnt send mine initially because nothing changed, then i was paranoid about it ..so i sent it with the web form ,
and had pick up mail a week after . Just to be safe send , as for city and co that does not matter .

As long as it wasnt PNP

1. Seems like the UK won't give you papers and you need to leave before getting deported?

2. Once/if you come to canada migrate straight to Alberta. Worry about prospects later. But it's easy to find a job in Alberta compared to other provinces in my opinion.

3. A UK degree should be recognized here. You'd have to get it equivallent to a master degree in canada first.

I am a doctor and will like to ask for possible jobs I can apply for in canada as I wont be able to practice straightaway.

Boss...There's no need to disagree sire. I only gave him a lead based on personal experience..I say again,if nothing has changed about your family composition,no need to fill another Imm008.

How are you these days? How's Ottawa? You didn't tell us how/if you got good bargain on mattress.

its online.

As for bed and co have been buying new ones: bed , sofa and tv ..and it hurts when i convert it to Naira loooooool but then thank God am working.

From when I submitted to when i got pick up mail was like over 3 weeks , i submitted the same day i got passport request ..lool that why i missed out the im008 form or at least u write a letter of explanation saying your family composition has not changed.

So after two weeks no show used the web from to submit again. Then a week later status changed to approved then the rest is history

Pray about it and let God lead you to where you want.
If your friend support is good and they are willing to accomodate you to give you soft landing, you can go for that.
Nothing says you cannot toggle between provinces if you get a job in another place.

From my research, if you are single, you might want to go for a 2 bedroom and look for someone to share with.
One bedroom goes for average of 850 - 1000/1100 in Missi while 2 bedroom goes for 1200 - 1650. If you get someone reasonable (maybe JJC too) you both can share and cost will be like 500 - 650 per person.
Upside, you have someone to fraternise and una two fit dey tag along easily downside, if the person no like to pay bills and clean kitchen, you are in trouble....
