Yay!! ... Tnx if you want to buy PTA from banks , some banks insist on return ticket for PTA so confirm first if u want PTA, or if the bank would take one way for PTA so you have to make that determination if the difference you get from PTA versus Blackmarket justifies buying a return versus one way ticket ......if u don't need to buy $$ from PTA then carry go with your 1 way 2 Likes |

femi321: Firstly, if you are planning for Fall 2017, just forget your application fee and apply to other schools for spring 2018 or better still prepare for fall 2018. You might need to do standardized tests to boost your chances for other schools. To avoid this your situation next time, make the grad cord your friend. You should have asked the grad cord specific requirements for admission, if you had asked, you wont be in this situation. Not all requirement are explicitly stated on most school's website. WES is expensive and takes average of 1month or more depending on how fast your undergraduate school respond. Go to www.wes.org to use the free online cgpa conversion to convert your cgpa to a scale of 4, that should give you an idea of your cgpa if you decide to do the official WES evaluation. Even if your CGPA is not 3/4 after using the WES online calculator, there are many schools that will still grant you admission with your present CGPA, so don't sweat it, just research well. By the way, its even funny you are down because of one school's application, do you know the strength it requires to keep up with about 6 schools applications which is what most people here do?. In summary, brace up and pull yourself up.The battle is not for the weak THANKS FOR YOUR KIND RESPONSE ..I HAVE CALCULATED IT VIA , YOUR LINK ..ITS 3.02/4.00 .....WILL THAT BE THE RESULT ALSO ? IF WES CONVERT IT ? |

I don't believe this transcript Lol, if some people start opening their mouths to tell you their experiences on this American journey, there are a lot of things you won't believe! I'm all for hard work, intense prep and all, but the race isn't necessarily to the swift! 1. It's very possible the undergrad was so naive, scared or clueless right at the moment, and spewed out whatever he had in mind. I mean, he was face-to-face to the woman who would determine whether he would be in this Nigeria, or in God's own country, some few months away. Likely a do or die for him! 2. Americans are so lose with the OMG thing! OMG, look at that baby, he's so cute! Me: I know, right!! OMG, you're so sweet!! Me: And you wanna start licking me?! Oh my goodness! I love you already!! Me: Just like that?? 4 Likes |

You can imagine in my visa pursuit journey, my first interview and i was denied. The consular asked me why my school, and i was defining chemical engineering. A NL guy was behind me and mentioned it he wouldnt have given me the visa if he was in the position of the consular. So many things happen inside the embassy. You see people unprepared. saying gibberish. We should be grateful. We are just fortunate. Its God's grace. I ve paid enough dues to american embassy! 3 Likes |

I ve paid enough dues to american embassy! Many crazy experiences when u listen to people. I guess I still hold the record for writing an essay at the embassy before I received my student visa in 2004. The VO wanted me to proof I deserved the full scholarship. Thus she gave me a piece of paper and pen to wrte an essay titled. "Why do you want to study in the US" . Went back to my seat..wrote it for like 25 minutes. She graded it and gave me the visa after wards. This was way back though. U can never tell what they will do or questions u will be asked at times. 7 Likes |
