Long time boss. you just forget us na.
Obiwannn:
Tchai, I don miss this thread sha...

It was on here where it all started, where we slept dreaming about Deutschland, the onyibos, the infrastructure, the flight by air, everything...

Thankfully, a lot of us made it here, and are presently contemplating the next step, as life is a journey, the struggle and hope for a better future never ceases until one passes away.

To those still having hope of breathing the German air, never never give up! And I'd sound it loudly and clearly here: there are a lot of opportunities abound when you sabi the language. Germany has even more opportunities than Canada and other English speaking countries, and it's the perfect time to be here as the country has started getting more receptive towards black folks..

Don't forget. Learn oh Learn German. They told me, but I say no level we go learn when we reach there. I don reach here and I no fit still learn. Nobody placed a big emphasis on the importance of German whilst I was still in Nigeria reading this thread, and the few who did, their voices were drowned.. In the end, my first few months ended in frustration.. Heck I have lost some excellent opportunities due to my inability to comprehend fluent German.

Anyhow, if you want to get a job here after school, unless it's IT or some special engineering fields, then fluent German knowledge is almost non negotiable... Also whilst you apply for schools from Nigeria, apply for fields that you know you would not have to be in tough competition with Germans to secure job placements after studies.

This is my own small contribution. And I will end with my favourite phrase which I used alot when was still a visa hopeful: To those of you who still dream the German dream, do not fret, for

#WinterIsComing.

No. Microelectronics and Microsystems.

Will do that now.
well a friend who studied that course left the program for another school citing reasons like they only learn about sensors and stuff, and there is not so much employment opportunity for him back in his home country with it. He's Pakistani.

Not to discourage you oh.. Just telling you what he told me.

don't really know about jobs for mechatronics. I didn't go awol. Just didn't have the time. And to add, a person who makes first class in Nigeria should leave that first class for Niger as him dey depart from MM Airport, because if you reach here dey form first class the way dem go take fall your hand ehn...

German educational system is tough especially engineering.
Frankly speaking, for 3 days now I have been viewing course details for Computational Mechanics at TUM... Contemplating between going for it or opt for Management which seems easier to me. But it will give me more employment opportunities if I excel.. It won't be easy, but it will be worth it.

Yh, I can relate with that, had such reservations too. But then I perused the modules and there are some stuffs that are interesting and prospective. All in all when we get there we will analyze situations and straight our head as required.

What program are you in?

Hello...
my Visit Visa application was refused today. I was invited by a German friend (my mom's long time friend) for 3momths visit to hamburg. I have studied and passed A1 German language and she wanted me to experience Hamburg. My elder brother, who was born in Germany and has been there SEVERAL times (including January 2017) was also refused the visa (he was going for only a few weeks). Their reason were that
1. Justification for the purpose and intended stay was not provided
2. Intention to leave the territory before visa expiration could not be ascertained.
WHAT DO YOU THINK I DID WRONG.. (please note i had All stated documents INCLUDING a Formal Obligation letter). Should i have done something extra....

Secondly, i now want to apply for a language visa of 3months to study for the A2 course in Berlin or Hamburg. Do you think it is advisable? Would they approve a 3months language visa? (since i heard it has to be 6months- i stand to be corrected). What should i do correctly to get a visa this time..?
thanks
