The opposition party CUF and the ruling party CCM had equal amount of supporters in Zanzibar but I noticed the more well off Zanzibaris tended to support CUF. Tanzanians are just cool laid back people so it translates into our music I guess and also Tanzanians speak Swahili with a softer accent than mainland Kenyans. Listen to Brown Mauzo or Otile Brown from Mombasa, its similar to TZ music I think you will like it.
