That is a forest cobra(spitting) not a water snake or king cobra.

Igbadu in yoruba. There is great enmity between this snake and dogs in Nigeria due to the popularity of this particular snake.

if you wake up in the morning and see that your dogs has a swollen eye(s) which usually last for 3days..The culprit is the spitting forest cobra. They also try to enter peoples home.
