Most business schools accept GMAT
It's the most recognised across the b-school sector.

You need to research about the b-school you intend attending to know what are their requirements.

I'm prepping for GRE first week in March.
BA Philosophy with CGPA of 4.38 and 4.23 in my Masters. I'm applying for a PhD in Philosophy too..
Currently I'm practicing with the baron Gmat and some GRE apps I downloaded from the app store but the maths no be here.
Please what books or apps can I use especially those that explain the basics becos sometimes I get the answer correctly by guessing but I need explanation.

It's good that you are considering re-writing. A lot of tips have been given on this forum and they all have something in common- practice and more practice (with the right materials- ETS and Manhattan are the best IMO). Check the very first page of this thread, it has a lot of information. Reading any article from New York times and Economist would help you improve. However, if you looking for a specific section, then I would recommend the art, science sections and book reviews. You should also check aldaily.com. They have at least 3 esoteric articles per day.

Sorry about this. Many people don't hit their scores at first but they use the first attemp to "learn the trade". You should know your weak points by now and be strategic is attacking them

Business schools prefer GMAT to GRE especially when you are going for an MBA. But schools defer in their policies so it's better to contact the school directly.

I didn't read from any of these sources, so I cannot help here. But, the Magoosh App uses GRE words in context which makes it very useful. On a side note, if you like classic literature, it can help too provided you still have time. I read Mansfield Park (thesaurus version) before my exam and a lot of GRE words were used colloquially which makes them easy to remember.

It's good you are rewriting the test. Now ,you have approximately two months to study. I would advise you watch the Magoosh premium video to understand maths operations that are necessary to ace the quant section. Then you try solving questions in the ets official guide for quant-- do not forget to read explanation to solutions at the end of each practise set.

For verbal, Magoosh video on verbal reasoning is also okay for this section. Download Magoosh GRE flashcard to learn common GRE words and Magoosh vocabulary builder to understand how the words are used in context. Quizlet will let you create custom vocab list for words you get from articles in Nytimes,Economists or RC passages. Then solve question on the ets official guide for verbal reasoning.

Other useful materials are, Cracking the GRE (Princeton review), Manhattan 5lb book, Kaplan 2017 is okay for beginners; their AWA section is very good,if you want to jump start writing Analytic essays. Experiment with the concepts and questions in these materials, you will surely get the material that suit your kind of person. As a reminder, do not overlook ets official guide for quant and verbal. Unfortunately, international passport is the only acceptable mean of identification. You won't be allowed to write the exam (either GRE or Toefl) without it.

My brother, I did not pass Verbal oh (like some elders here) but the elders have spoken. I tried to read aldaily.com but could not cope after the first 3 days. Those passages are God forsaken but if you can cope, they will be of immense help. I also listened to BBC radio every morning and evening on my drive to and from work. Those tough GRE words are frequently used in their news/reports/documentaries. Good luck!
