A Nigerian Christian lady has got herself trending online after claiming she fasted for 29 days just to prove that Christians and Muslims are the same. The lady who was filmed holding a bible and a Muslim prayer beads shared the trending footage yesterday to mark the the Eid al-fitr celebration and the end of the Ramadan fast.

In the video, she revealed that she joined the Muslims in fasting because both the Christians and Muslims all serve the same God as she urged other Nigerians to leave in peace with one another irrespective of their religion..

You're right if it's exactly the way you put it. Mind you, the same God of love was claimed as the inspiration behind the Jerusalem massacre of the First Crusade, where Muslims are Jews were wiped out completely by the Crusaders.

No work can be accepted as an act of worship(ibadah) except if it done on iman (faith). The Islamic faith is enshrined in the total worship of Allah without ascribing partnership to Him(SWT) in any form whatsoever, then accepting the fact that Prophet Muhammad (SAW) is the last messenger of Allah, without ascribing partnership to him in obedience to the teachings he taught the ummah(Muslims) through the divine knowledge he received from Allah. Also adhering strictly to the articles of faith (Ar kanul Iman) I.e belief in Allah, His messengers, the angels, the Holy Books, the day of judgement, the good and bad predestination. Only on these pillars and articles can any act of worship can be accepted. So my sister it would be profitable if you accept Islam willingly. Only then will your next fast or any act of worship will be accepted. Allah knows best.
