lordfalcao: You are on a long ting. Buyback clauses are illegal in France so it's only a gentlemans agreement. 15% of £50m is £7.5m. Which means we won't get much out of any future sale. |

Thecassanova: Same Matic that Mourinho double substituted against West Ham? Same Matic that Jose, and Hiddink both dropped? Same Matic that Conte is trying to get rid off after just 1 season? When I remember all of this, then I don't mind if they sell Matic to Manyoo mehn. Bakayoko here we come. |

Ibime:it is still a good deal, we can't keep hindering traore development , he needs to play regularly to become a beast of striker.. Tomorrow if he develops and Worth's 50m , Chelsea is the first club Lyon will offer him to at a cheaper rate.... All in all it is a wise deal than selling outrightly for 17M without any clause... |

Nihilist:....Then the same Matic Mou think was influential to our title winning and he wants to get him at €40m Why buy him 40m if he's that worthless? There must be something Mou is seeing you guys are not seeing. Mou no be fool. I just wonder how strong ManU midfield would be next season. |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by Nihilist: 9:34am On Jun 27, 2017 |
Thecassanova: Jose wanted John stones for 60m and bought Pogba for 90. He's the same guy that brought Falcao, sold Mata, KDB and Lukaku, and signed Etoo and Kept Oscar. To be honest, Jose wanting a player doesn't really mean much to me. His player assessment skills are severely suspect these days. 40m for Matic is a fantastic deal...for us. We should deliver Matic there in a box with a pretty bow on top sef. 2 Likes |

Unlimited22: That's just the thing. I don't believe Matic is strengthening Manyoo at all. Matic is only alive when he is asked to destroy. The moment he's tasked with playing more positive football , he flounders. That's what happened 15/16. That's what happened last season. Manyoo are already solid defensively. Only Tottenham conceded less goals than them last season. Where they had problems last season was squandering chances. Matic is not a significant improvement to an already watertight defence, and he will add absolutely nothing to their attack. If we sold say Costa or even Willian to them, I will be fretting. But Matic? And for 40m? Mehn, He has my blessing... 1 Like |

Nihilist:He may be an improvement. For all his tenacity, Ander Herrera isn't a defensive midfielder and will soon be exposed. |

Unlimited22: He's not a significant improvement to the second tightest defence in the league. They will continue to be solid defensively with or without Matic. This is a Mourinho team we're talking about afterall... Unless Matic adopts an expansive passing game and significantly improves his dribbling skills within the next 4 weeks, he should bounce with alacrity 1 Like |

lordfalcao: Nah man, I don't like that deal so far as the buyback clause is not legally enforceable. That was how we thought we had a £15m buyback on Thorgan Hazard until we started hearing stories from Mochengladbach. If the buyback is just a gentlemans agreement, then it would provide some comfort to know that we have some performance related clauses in the sale agreement that could earn us another £15m-£20m in the future. 1 Like |

bigkesh: In the end, you cannot understand what is above your reasoning. Who told you Matic > Fabregas? 1. Everyone else told you that for us to be sound defensively in this formation, Matic will do that better than Fabregas in that Central Position. 2. Conte deemed it fit to start with Matic on plenty occasions ahead of your Fabregas. The stats didnt lie. But you, youtube scout from ogbomosho thinks otherwise on nairaland 3. The same Bakayoko that never offers anything going forward in atleast 3 full season of professional footy. Think about it, do we need another tackler/runner in the midfield that has Kante doing all that already? This is the point you fail to understand because you more interested in throwing imaginery L's that'll uturn on you. Bakayoko is not what we need in that middle, how you fail to see that is what i don't understand. Winning an arguement of last season which will be irrelivant in the new season is what your myopic mind is all about. 4. What everyone that supported matic here said was that we needed an agile Central Midfielder who would offer defensive solidity and as well come up with a fair share in attack. Just look at Bakayoko and tell us here if he will do more than matic has done attack wise in a season? So why are we buying almost the same thing with just little margins? 5. The same nonsense about Fabregas pairing Kante will come out your mouth again when You wont see the what Bakayoko brings to the team. Conte was wise enough, He figured Fabregas was no competition with Kante or Matic and started using him in switching to 352 when Willian or Pedro are off. The little margins that make you think Bakayoko is better dey make you hyperventilate anyhow on the thread. Your eye go clear very soon. 10 Likes |

Rooney Signs for Shanghai in £700,000 per-week Deal - http://www.socceronsunday.com/article/rooney-signs-for-shanghai/?utm_campaign=shareaholic&utm_medium=whatsapp&utm_source=mobile Wayne Rooney has joined Chinese club Shanghai SIGP in a deal worth a reported £700,000 per-week. The 31 year-old had fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford, and now becomes Andres Villas Boas’ second major signing following the capture of Oscar from Chelsea. Rooney stands to earn 1.2 Squillion Yuan (£160 million) over the lifetime of his contract, and Chinese Internet Watchdogs have already added pictures of the striker taken before his hair transplant to a list of censored topics that includes the Tiananmen Square massacre of 1989. 2 Likes |

lalaboi: Still......You can't comprehend Bakayoko is not my first choice partner for Kante, dude is not even top 10 on my wishlist BUT HE IS STILL BETTER THAN MATIC....HE MIGHT OFFER NOTHING OFFENSIVELY LIKE MATIC BUT HE WILL MAKE US MORE SOLID AT THE BACK Clearly Conte preferred someone to make us stronger at the back to a playmaker than is defensively ok.. When you reason clearly like this it is not hard to see that Conte thinks Matic offers nothing big defensively I mean, when you sell a DM to but another DM the reason is obvious to every straight guy not some of ya all crushing on Matic 6 Likes 2 Shares |
