Well u may not understand what I mean by offset dish, because most of the dish now are days doesn't come with manual of installation, when u try to install c-bans dish for example on nilesat wihich is at 7.0w and at the same time install an offset dish I mean ku band dish for the same nilesat at 7.0w,,u will discovered that the c-band dish is pointing upward compared the the ku band dish, then why is this ,because the the lnb of the c-band is center end at the dish while that of the ku band is off the beam elevation angle, hence u need to subtract the offset angle from the true elevation angle to get ur offset dish beam angle. Let assumed ur true elevation is 82.3 then ur offset angle is 22 ,the ur calculation goes like this 82.3-22=60.3 so 60.3 will be the angle u are setting ur dish on, but in the case of c-band if ur elevation is the same 82.3 that is exactly place u will need to tilts ur dish to, but u need an inclinometer to be able to adjust ur elevation accurately, and for the azimuth adjustment u need a very good compass, so when u have all of this handing installation of satellite dish will be a piece of bread to u, u may need to,contact me through my phone for more explanation if u do not understand me, meanwhile u can click on this link to read more about offset dish and prime focus dish http://www.satsig.net/22-deg-offset-dish.htm

while tracking this satellite the tp 12518 is coming up as ASTRA 28.2E channel and not as Nigcomsat channel and 12626 is not hitting green.

Then u are not at the right satellite I hope u know is at 42.5E with azimuth of 98.0 degree and elevation angle of 44.1 then u minus ur offset angle, if ur are using an offset dish, well I tried to tract the satellite myself this afternoon ,the only thing I noticed was that the signal was blinking , then I was thinking it was my dish that had that problem,,then I decided to track about six other satellite to see where the problem was, then I noticed my dish was ok, because I tracked eutelsat 10E, Astra 28.2. Badr 26.0E, nilesat 7.0w, ses5 @4.9, Sirius @4.8 and Intelsat @ 68.5, so my conclusion is that there might be temporary problem with the satellite, I have already sent u the nigcomsat freq. and the symbol rate yesterday.

I went to a friend's house yesterday and they use technosat FTA and they said they've been using it for over 2 years. I came to this thread and I couldn't understand a thing... Lol

Hmmmm it was off last night now dey are working maybe off in d evening I don't no....... note if u can track champion tv u are 70 percent sure of catching d bird. cause it just a little above champion tv 110008V 5000 dem input 12518 H 29500 rase ur dish up a little u hit green

use 12015v 30000 when you get signal above 65% blindscan to get what you want.
