Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, on Tuesday visited Port-Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.

In a video obtained by DAILY POST, Kanu was hailed in Igbo language by his admirers.

Some called him ‘Igwee’ (King), while some referred to him as ‘Ebubedike’.

Kanu is seen acknowledging the crowd’s cheer, while he was ushered into a waiting vehicle.

The IPOB leader waved as the vehicle moved on, even as the crowd continued to shout his praises.

His mission to the oil-rich state is not yet known.

Meanwhile, IPOB has hinted that it will ride on the wings of the United Nations, UN, charters which allows group seeking secession to exploit civil disobedience in achieving its mandate of Biafra.

IPOB said this in response to some Northern elders like Tanko Yakassai, who alleged that the group was calling for another civil war by insisting on the restoration of Biafra.

He did say before he went to jail that Port Harcourt has the highest number of listeners of his radio therefore, I'm not shocked about the video. They've always loved him even before Buhari made him popular.

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu was Tuesday, June 27, welcomed by massive crowd in Port Harcourt Rivers state.

The IPOB leader during his visit met with members of the Ijaw Youth Council in Port Harcourt, the capital city of Rivers state.

NAIJ.com also gathered that Kanu after meeting with all the members of the council had a closed door meeting session with some of the elders of the IJC.

NAIJ.com had earlier reported that the Rivers state governor Nyesom Wike said that Nigeria will continue to remain one united nation.

Wike reacting to the quit notice issued to the Igbos living in the North by a Northern youth group said nobody has the right to tell any Nigerian were to live.

He said: "Nigeria must be one. All of us will live together. All of us are free to do business anywhere in the country. Whether you are from the north, you are free to stay here and do business."

In as much as I advocate for Biafra, I must confess that these antics by Nnamdi Kanu is unbecoming. I am finding it so hard to defend him lately.

Nnamdi Kanu and the way the Igbos have sheepishly and senselessly deified his persona has made me lose every iota of respect for the Igbos.
