Someone should advice me on what to do. I got the email below from a school in Tennessee. Find below the message; Wonderful to hear about your admission! Please go ahead and sign up for the payment for your I-20. Here are the directions for that: (which you can also find here: http://www.apsu.edu/international/sending-documents ) Overview of Mailing Process APSU only mails documents by pre-paid express mail through eShipGlobal using FedEx, UPS, or DHL. · You can pay to have items shipped to you via express mail through E-Ship Global. · You create an account and pay for your selected shipping method and provider (FedEx, UPS, or DHL) · You will be able to track your package and receive it faster. Note: eShip Global is the only option available for express shipping. We are unable to accommodate labels made through personal FedEx/courier accounts or sending through other services. Initial I-20 and DS-2019 requests : Wait until we send you an automated email letting you know you have been accepted and your acceptance packet (including I-20 or DS-2019 form) is ready to be sent before you request an eShip delivery. To request express mail service, go to https://study.eshipglobal.com .The site works best with Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox browsers. Do not go to the UPS, DHL or FedEx sites directly. How to Create an Express Shipping Label Please complete the following steps to create an express shipping label through E-Ship Global: 1. Visit the eShipGlobal website (Best with Internet Explorer & Firefox). 2. Register/create an account. For this you will need: · Email address (shipping information will be sent here) · Mailing address · Phone number (for delivery). 3. Activate your account. After registering, you will receive an email within 30 minutes prompting you to activate your account. This is required for you to begin using the account. Once the activation process is complete, you will receive a confirmation email. 4. Create the shipping label . Once your account is active, you must: a. Select "Receive a Package From Universities," b. Select “Tennessee” from the map of the United States c. Select “Austin Peay State University” d. If applying for graduate studies, select “College of Graduate Studies” If undergraduate, select “Office of Admissions.” If English Language Institute, select “ESL Institute.” e. Enter your mailing address (U.S. or foreign), phone number and email address. An APSU ID number (A number) is NOT required to submit your request. Please use A002216400 if you do not yet have your A number yet. f. At the end of the screen, select “ship/quote.” You will receive a quote and have the option to choose your carrier – FedEx, UPS, or DHL. g. Select your method of payment (i.e. credit card or wire transfer). Please pay close attention to the information submitted on these screens, as errors in the credit card information or submitting incorrect or incomplete address information will result in a delay in the mailing of your documents. 5. Receive confirmation email from eShipGlobal. The final email you receive from eShipGlobal will be confirmation of your order. This email will provide you with detailed information about your shipment (i.e. payment amount, tracking number, mailing address, etc.). APSU will receive a copy of this email at the same time as you, so there is no need to forward us the information unless your adviser requests it. 6. Track your package. APSU should send a confirmation email once your documents are shipped. You will be able to track your documents through the portal within 24-48 hours after your package is sent. |

TheGreat342: What advice do you need exactly? It seems everything was clearly spelt out. Like as been said on this forum countless times, if you know someone in the US, have the i20 mailed to them so they then mail it to you in Nigeria. If not, just go ahead and pay for the stuff. I personally recommend using a courrier service that allows you to track your package. By the way, congrats! |

OluDare01:Most places do not need references or recommendations until later in the interview process. I don't include references in my request. I have a small line under the resume that says "References available upon request". Most of them will ask you for references later when they need it. Then you can contact your referees and tell them to expect a call or email. |

Hi guys, So i googled "U.S student visa interview :nairaland" about 3weeks before my interview. I have a virgin passport, first time I'm applying for any visa and also, i applied to just one school. I literarily read every transcript form thread 9-11, coupled with fasting and prayer and after everything.........................hmm It was approved While on the queue, I didn't listen or look at the peeps being interviewed, cause I knew too much rejections might throw me off my game I only listened when I was queued at window 5, and I was lucky enough to hear the V.O tell the guy being interviewed to keep is answers brief and straight to the point (my sister told me to give detailed explanations for every question and I planned to do just that). Surprisingly, the V.O started staring straight at me even though the guy being interviewed was still answering his questions. He rejected the guy, I stepped forward and my transcript goes thus: V.O: Good morning (with a smile) Me: Good morning (with my fake smile) V.O: So why are you going to the U.S? (Starts typing) Me: For my MLA V.O: How many schools did you apply to? Me: I considered three but applied to just one V:O: Which schools did you consider? Me: Colorado state Uni Pennsylvania State Uni WVU V.O: What did you study as an undergrad? Me: Botany V.O: So what's the course about Me: LARC utilizes core aspects of science and arts to produce the best use of........ V.O: You said Arts? So how does this relate to botany? Me: A key part of botany is horticulture, which involves the use of ornamental plants for artistic purposes V.O: *Nodds* (types furiously for what seemed like 24hrs) Study hard and goodluck (with a smile and an outstretched white paper Me: Thank you very much (with a real smile ) I thank Baba God and y'all.....These transcripts really helped me, and I hope mine helps others too 25 Likes 3 Shares |
