tripleY:Treasury bill is cool but check again, 17-18% in one whole year. If you're not ready to put millions there, forget it. It's very good for ppl trying to save, I mean ppl that have some millions just laying in there acct that hasn't been planned on. But if you're someone like me, I'll rather invest it in real business. Get a better percentage interest, create employment and have an alternative source of income. 3 Likes 1 Share |

tripleY:People of Nigeria, do not be fooled!!! All the Govern.ent is after is MONEY CONTROL IN CIRCULATION!!! EVEN IN ADVANCE COUNTRIES THERE GOVERNMENTS ALWAYS WANNA KEEP THE "COMMONS" UNDER THEM LET ALONE EVER GREEDY AFRICAN GOVERMENTS. THOSE 3 SO CALLED GOVERNMENT CONTROLLED PUBLIC INVESTMENT VENUES DO NOT HAVE YOUR BEST INTREST AT HEART. DO YOUR RESEARCH AND YOU WILL DISCOVER THERE TRUE AIM. REMEMBER, THE MORE YOU MAKE THE MORE TAX THE GOVERNMENT EXPECT YOU TO PAY. ****Instead Of helping GOVERMENT TO ACTUALISE THERE COVERT PLANS, USE THE MONEY TO OBTAIN LICENCE TO EXTRACT NATURAL MINERAL RESOURCES AND PATNER WITH FOREIGN DEVELOPERS TO MAKE MONEY. REMEMBER THE STOREY OF THE RICHEST WOMAN IN AFRICA. |

One of the major characteristics of fixed income assets like bonds and t-bills is credit ratings. The safety of a fixed income investment depends on how high it's credit rating is. So unlike you said, bonds and t-bills issuer's can default in their payouts. Secondly, all bonds and t-bills are taxable.except municipal bonds issued by local government's which we do not have here in Nigeria |

free2ryhme:don't be naive Mr. There are two types of investing. passive and active investing. There are different types of asset classes to invest in. Two major factor that determines any investor interest. 1. Investor risk appetite which also determines the expected returns. 2. Investor psychology to hold up an asset for as long as he or she desires before reaping returns. So while a passive investor with very low risk appetite will want to invest in real estate with long maturity and reward period. An active investor will invest in higher risk, high reward investment with a short duration. So instead of bashing the op,put the information you have so we can all benefit from it. 3 Likes |

Highorbit: While I agree the returns may be nothing to write home about, especially when one considers our inflation rate, TB still offers a far better alternative for those with as low as 100k (which most banks will accept) to keep their funds, than savings account or fixed deposit. Not everyone has the time or energy to go into business, 8am-5pm civil servants, for instance. |

InvertedHammer:Lol, true that, they will use your so called investment to make profits and give you peanuts in return, if I have such millions, I will put it in a western bank that are more open and sincere than a jungle bank in a jungle continent, apart from building low cost houses and lands and flipping it over, nothing interest me in investing in a shark infested water in Nigeria, Na today, done that in the past and I know what l went through, nonsense |
