What is in question is whether the president's speech was dignifying of the office he holds. For instance, you and I could say "Tonto Dikeh is an ugly idiot" without any scrutiny from the public. But a president (or other public office holder) uttering such a statement reeks of immaturity and lack of appropriate sophistication.
